The Bipolar Disorder Project - 'Black' Album Announced

It has been announced that the release of the last album by The Bipolar Disorder Project, entitled Black, will take place on April 26th. The Bipolar Disorder Project is a Romanian project, originating in Brașov, created by the multi-instrumentalist Robert Cotoros, who passed away on 08.11.2020, leaving behind the music to which he devoted his life. The song "Sumitomo Girl" is streaming below.

Facebook statement, regarding the album release: "Black was composed by Robert between 2018–2020 and includes different genres of music, from avant-garde and progressive metal to post-rock and pop. The album title is a reference to the darkness around and within ourselves that we constantly try to eliminate from our lives. The album encourages us to experience all the inevitable experiences of the human condition, from excitement and hope to suffering, loneliness and confusion. Only in the darkness can we truly learn who we are, and only by embracing that darkness can we move towards what is bright: community, our relationships, empathy and love.

"The album was produced and recorded in Brașov, mixed and mastered by Radu Constantinescu (W3 4R3 NUM83R5). The album's artwork is created by Ilinca Ivanuca. Robert's last wish was for his music to reach people, especially those who appreciated and supported his work over the years. Two years later, this becomes possible, and his album will be available on Bandcamp and YouTube on his birthday, April 26th.

"We, Teo Ardeleanu and Ilinca Ivanuca, would like to thank all those who helped us complete and release this album! Mircea and Diana Cotoros, Radu Constantinescu, Andreea Danu, Alex Grigoraș, Marius Muntean, Alinesku Wan, Vlad Enescu, Petra Martin and last but not least all the friends and people who have supported and inspired Robert over the years."

Facebook statement, regarding the song "Sumitomo Girl": "'Sumitomo Girl' is part of The Bipolar Disorder's final album called 'Black' and it's about love, a love felt by each of us at some point, which overwhelms us, makes us discover unknown parts of ourselves and ultimately destroys us. The video aims to tell the same story: the longing for deep and sincere love, the illusion that it has finally been found, and the agony that comes with the harsh reality in the end.

The permanent shadow left in front of the Sumitomo Bank after the Hiroshima bomb exploded (known as 'Human Shadow Etched in Stone') was used by Robert as a metaphor for never getting over someone and the lasting effect a person can have on us. The video was made by Ilinca Ivanuca. We would like to thank Alex Grigoras and Andreea Danu, without whom this video would not have been possible."

it's just "we are numbers" written in a fancy way. It's the name of a metalcore band.
