Nox Aeternum - "The Reflection"

I would like to introduce you to my project Nox Aeternum. Nox Aeternum is a one-man epic black metal band from the United States started in November 2013. The pursuit of Nox is to combine raw Swedish-styled black metal, ambitious atmosphere, thoughtful composition and a progressive touch. Nox Aeternum should appeal to fans of Dissection, Marduk, Nokturnal Mortum, Soar and Helrunar to name a few.



With a full-length album, two EPs and two singles already released, the music has begun taken on a more epic approach with more pronounced songwriting. The Latest Album The Reflection is part 1 of a 3 part series. Pre-production for the next 2 albums is currently underway and The next record will be released as a double album.

Primitive Bio
From the ditches of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, at the ports of the feet of Hell(evoetsluis) Primitive is one of the last remnants from a decade of heavy metal bands thrashing the local area. After the closing down of all the venues they retreated in the bunkers of Hellevoetsluis working on new incantations bringing homage to all the silenced noises before them. Howls with high sustain and blood trembling speed metal rhythms will blast you away with the earth shattering grooves and energetic performance of this band.

Starting out in 2007 they allready gave their crowds a brutal blast of metal. After seven years of gigging they finaly recorded their first single Nightmare. While aiming for a fulllength album their drummer decided to leave the band. But after a short period of time they gained a new drummer who blasted his way to Cerberus and Raw Traces just to the taste the band needed so much.

Hey there!

Aesthetics of a loss is misspelled by 9 out of 10 people. It's also a one-man DIY project where everything hear - all instruments, recording, mixing and mastering has been done by the sweaty palms of one overly motivated individual.

The name of the game is melodic death metal with lot of emphasis on harmonies and a tinge of epicness (methinks). The lyrical theme is of the aftermath of one of the finest human traits possible - betrayal and deceit.

Bands stolen a bit too much ideas from are too numerous to mention - but the band most close sonically is Daylight Dies (criminally underrated imho).

The first EP - l'Égoïsme was concieved, mulled over, recorded and re-recorded over the period of 3 years. Here are links to where you can stream it:

What's up?

For weird black metal fans

Throughout the last 4 years I have been teaching myself to play guitar and recording music, programming drums and shit, and I'm pretty sure I've made a huge progress. I have written, recorded, mixed and blablabla several genres of music, like black metal, post-rock, neo folk and even some other shit like trip hop and psychedelic rock. So, this year I have finally released something in physical media (a cassette in a tiny label but still). So here it is:

"Metallia" is an epical prog-metal composition in six parts. A multi-layered sonic piece of ravishing solo electric guitars, time-bending tempo shifts, grooving bass lines and deranged drums.

This instrumental progressive metal album will reveal its intricacies and hidden depths over time. I. Red Lion

The sonic journey begins with the fiery "Red Lion". Dazzling, dynamic prog-metal guitar solos amidst the haunting ancient rhythm of a bewitching toumperleki, groovy bass lines and eerie portentous vocals set the musical sojourner on his quest from the Prima materia to the creation of the Magnum Opus.

II. Bee

An acoustic flamingo based guitar introduces an abstruse beat forged from multi-layered vocals which lead to frenetic harmonic guitar solos shifting in time-twisting riffs collecting the delirium of the mind-matter and as a "Bee" transforming it to spiritual gold.

III. Androgyny

An ominous ethereal chorus introduces the stage of "Androgyny" - one's conquest over duality. An ironic, menacing and taunting riff incites the seeker, as a celestial chorus awakens the hero on his journey. The blossoming of a self-expressive electric guitar meets the forces of inertia, apathy and the oblivion of nothingness. The unsteady hero though rises from the emptiness with a twisted, spiralling enraptured guitar solo as the celestial beings rejoice.

IV. Resurrection

Undulating beats and transparent steely violins proclaim the entrance into mastery in "Resurrection". A rock guitar reels in ecstatic head-banging measures leading to an explosive, exuberant climax of tempo-shifting multi-instrumental solos.

V. Dragon's Kiss

Kissed by the Dragon but not dissolved by it. "Dragon's Kiss" is an epic propulsive build of percussion, guttural and lilting vocals, riffing electric guitars, fantastical violins, grooving bass lines and furious drums traversing dark sonic landscapes and imagery.

VI. Triumph

Delirious high pitched screaming vocals celebrate the "Triumph". Finger-twisting guitar riffs soar in multi-layered sonic solos while a distorted demoniac guitar propels a spellbinding bass and drums to the ultimate state of immutability.

This is a solo project called The Tubert Incident. As of now it's very generally instrumental metal. I've been creating music for almost 20 years now so it's hard for me to pin point the particular styles or even influences in my music - this EP alone was probably written over the course of about 10 years. Not that it was some grandiose planned out art piece, these are just the 4 songs I chose in the end. Anyway, hope you enjoy!
