If anyone wonders WHY it is in the art forum. Th making of whisky and enjoying it, is a art!
So what whisky do you prefer? What Glasses? Regions? Your thoughts about the latest Whisky you bought!
At the moment Im sitting here with a branded Glenmorangie Noosing glass and enjoying a Ardbeg 10 year old from the new batch.
Favorites so far, Ardbeg, Lagavulin (yes I am a sley enthusiast), Bowmore, Port Ellen, Glenmorangie for a smooth change, Highland Park and the list goes on!
Lets Discuss Whisky!
And Ice is the tool of the devil in a good whisky!

I don't like Whiskey, in fact I despise it, dunno, its taste is horrible for me, I don't know why my friends (and almost everyone) likes it.  I prefer something else, like brandy, tequila, vodka or a glass of wine.  Now bash me everyone!!!

I can not drink anything alse anymore how Islay malt Bowmore aged 40 years 60% strong, simply I cant drink other whisky, I will merry Bowmore for rest of my life,

I finaly tryed Japs whisky, it was mild, soft, , good taste quality but lil for ladies, even it worked same i try real irish(jameson, tullamore) isnt real, also was good, but to soft for me I prefere Bowmore --- Islay malt --- its be my for live and primitive burbon

If I'm just sipping whisky, I prefer Crown Royal. Most of the time though, I just mix with coke or mountain dew, so brand or taste doesn't really matter lol.

Dont ever mix with stuff like coke IMO. Completely kills the taste and flavour. Just drink it neat.

Written by Himann on 13.11.2010 at 21:50 I don't know what was happening with the link, fixed it though. They are whisky stones... you put them in the freezer and when you want to chill your whisky instead of ice cubes you use them. They don't melt and dilute the flavor...

The only "benefit" you get from cooling down your whisky is that it makes it taste of less...and why on earth would you want to do that if you like whisky??

In regards to Scotch being "hard to get" - the supermarket about 2km away has a bunch of scotchs topping off with Glenmorangie. none of it cuts it for me, so i go a mere 12km or so to Bevmo. Per the website, there is a readily available selection of 184 different marks available, ranging from $25 entry level Scotch to $200+ a bottle rarities. usually go with Laphroaig (we'll see now, though as i don't like 10 terribly much and they no longer offer a 15), Talisker, Ardbeg, or Lagavulin. love most Islay's (12+) ... yeah, i know Talisker is from the Isle of Skye, making it an exception. it's not hard to get by any stretch of the imagination.
