I'm probably going to sign up for an Egg one too that's for pick up the same location. Only $.50 more than supermarket eggs. I'd be crazy to not do that.
We grow our own vegetables and peaches but we know a friend with a cattle farm out here so we get from them but it’s not delivered, though that would be really nice
Okay, well this is the same thread created on the old version of metalstorm. Please share with us how you feel about the metal scene in your city/town/village/hamlet. Some ideas are say... how often you get concerts in your town, or if there are a lot of people or not into the metal scene, etc. etc.
Well here in Regina Saskatchewan I find that it's pretty bad, but it has gotten a lot better over the past few months. We don't get very many bigger name bands anymore, but the local scene is quite alive. Those shows get a lot of people (the last one even sold out), but I find that a lot of bands don't come by here much anymore. I would like to see more bigger name metal bands play some shows here, but it just doesn't happen anymore. Before when they were supposed to play, they were often cancelled and that really irritated me.
As far as metal people are concerned, well I've been noticing a little more now than I did before as well. So to sum it up, I'd say that the scene was dying here, but it's being revived so to speak.
Well.. I guess we're all having the same problem ? Deathcore and Metalcore -_- gosh so many of them... but there is still some Thrashers round' here ! hell yeah, me ... my friends and yes yes some young metalheads that are starting to be around. I never thought there would be more of them than when I was in highschool myself but I guess there is some sort of revival in the movement, its good to see really and not only the Deathcore kids.. I saw some kids wearing Warbringer, Municipal Waste, Mastodon, Death Angel, Arsis, Exodus (...) shirts..
and for the shows, bahh... there is some at times in the small bars of Ottawa but not many big venues and when there is ... its rarely on big stages, anyways there is still the Rockfest (20 mins from my place, with alot of bands this year including Kataklysm, Gwar, Insurrection, Anonymus) and the Blues Fest (we're receiving Mastodon, Iron Maiden and Alice Cooper this year). But apart from that ? I go to Montreal really lol
I've heard that Montreal is the best city in Canada for metal shows, with Toronto and Vancouver being up there too... But you guys did get Heavy MTL before we got Heavy TO :p
Indeed, Shane is actually sound, always happy to chat to fans Most recently saw him at the Cannibal Corpse/Enslaved show, he pretty much goes to every decent gig in Birmingham.

Yeah but TO ... tsss lol Montreal's the best indeed if you want metal shows.
Metal scene in New Hampshire? Ha! Pretty much non-existant. Some local bands of the death core variety, play at Halls for 10 bucks cover, but i gotta travel for my metal. Which im lucky,i can drive to Worcester or Boston MA or Providence RI easily for my live metal fix. Ronnie James Dio was born in Portsmouth NH,thats my states claim to metal.
New england is decent for metal but there is alot more metal core and death core than thrash and other genres, but you can still find it

The Athenian black metal scene is quite developed and has really good bands. The deathg metal scene is less developed but still good and the rest of the scenes aren't that interesting. As far as people are concerned, thera are a lot of metalheads in Athens and many metal shops/bars/clubs.

In my country metal isn't that advanced, there are no old-school bands that growl or scream, just that normal voice of theirs and a bit heat on it. But there are some new bands out here that can also scream, that's what I'm always looking for.
God forbid people have a different opinion than you. What's wrong with people liking pop music?
Because obviously listening to metal makes people superior, and people don't take their music too seriously at all. Your IQ increases by 1000 points. And thats just by listening to Venom.
Written by Guest on 14.06.2012 at 07:23 Its OK for the girls to listen to it, but my god most of the boys are the same and that is just ridiculous.
