how so? in living memory have christians run around and incinerated millions of unbelievers in ovens , etc? the way the church acted hundreds of years ago is not how the church acts now.

furthermore, i do not believe that exterminating unbelievers is a written christian doctrine/policy, whereas extermination of Jews, gays, gypsies, the handicapped, Catholics, was part of the official policy of Nazi Germany.

nevertheless, it's not the present that is important. of course there are no mass killings now, but that is true in the case of nazism as well. today nazism is merely a shadow, kept alive by a couple of bald guys who march sporadically and hail hitler.

one of the cornerstones of Christianity is "love thy neighbor as thyself" - whether Christian or not, seems a good basic premise for having a civilized world.

you can differentiate Christianity from those who have politicized it or bastardized it for their own ends because there are nice books which codify what the systems of values are, so it's clear when someone is twisting it for their own gains, whether King Olaf's "convert or die!" a 1,000 years ago or the "God Hates Fags" losers today, it's clear that they violate the basic tenets of the religion.

on the flip side, National Socialism has had one overriding doctrine. And for all the calls to national pride and whatnot, you will still find the symbols of Hitler's vision of National Socialism tied to these bands. Well in Russia there aint no atheist gourement state officaly is ortodox, but many soviet shit remains, but in USSR it was officaly athetsitc state , God=Stalin

My point in citing Soviet Russia is that ultimately it was a dictatorship - with atheism as the party line - which killed some 20,000,000 people. is atheism the cause? no. Stalin was. Just like a lot of colonization from Europe into the Americas was done primarily to gain wealth. Conversion or death was a side effect and part of the guise to give the "pillage them for their wealth" policy a slightly better sounding name: "Pillage them for their wealth... and save their souls." It was not the cause, greed was.

as i summed earlier, the basic tenets of the religion are love thy neighbor as thyself, do not still, do not kill, etc. it's clear to see when someone craved power violated from these beliefs - thus, like Stalinist Russia - the fault remains with those running the show and not the -ism they wish to incorporate into their efforts.

that same point can not be made in regards to National Socialism. Killing "inferiors" was an integral part of their doctrine and enacted policy.

Kids in the US were inspired by black metal and church burnings in Norway, and a couple of teenagers from a band called Ritual desecrated churches and graveyards, piled up ammunition and attempted to kill the local pastor along with a few other religious hotshots.
Satanism can be as bad as NSBM when taken in the wrong way. But no need to censor satanic bands is there....

Weoeoe I just got my nokturnal mortum patch in the maiiiiil. what a beauty.

I may hate the band members' opinions (and so do i), but the music they play is simply good and in most of cases, it has nothing to do with Nazism, but with ancient Slavonic paganism (yes, not all of them, thats unfortunately true)...the same are bands like Kroda or Temnozor - bandmembers are idiots, but songs like Cry to me, river or Tell me, ye scarlet dewscented sunrises have nothing in common with Nazi ideas...just a masterpieces of pagan black metal

Yes, it was there...i was a bit surprised too and suggested Graveland (i hold is as good pagan bm band, what Darken thinks or says is another thing imo) claiming "when Nokturnal Mortum can be there"...but now both NM and my suggestion are erased...i find it kinda funny - censorship working even on Metal Storm...

(to make it all clear, i am no nazi supporter at all, i even hate them...but freedom in mind is something i hold beyond everything and therefore i dont agree with any punishing of nazis for saying something or wearing something (unless they use force against others in the name of their unholy ideology) and i absolutely disagree with banning music because it is "ideologically unclear"...and there is one thing i hate more than nazis - "democracy" being like them in order to "protect from them"...we should be the "good guys"...how shall we, when we use cenzorship, when we punishing for opinions, etc...?)

There's a difference there just like we still ahve Burzum here although Varg is a Nazi. Do the maths and you'll figure our out why some band are removed and others are not whilst the band members hold the same believes. And if you cn't figure it out you're even dumber than Varg.

The profile was opened by mistake, for reasons that include way too much alcohol, scissors, coconuts and a goat. It was removed when we (the staff) stopped being high and realized our mistake. Now we look a bit dumb but we kind of like it. Sorry about giving you false hopes though


Now, to cut short all the whining, let it be clear that we don't feature NS bands (unless we're not aware that they're NS bands, thus adding to the confusion and our aforementioned dumbness, but hey, can't know everything, right?). What band are you talking about? Nokturnal Mortum has quite a few bad albums imo. Especially their early work which are just a harsher Dimmu Borgir.
