Alanis Morissette's "Everything"....it's a sad song...with hope in it....filled with honesty and devotion...similar in its essence to Tyr's "Ragnarök"....

Ok..so.Currently.A lot.But the very last one that caught my attention is Fergie's "Big girls don't cry" I dislike Black eyed peas so much, and i think that the band sucks.Fergie on her own is also crap, little less crap but mostly still crappy in my opinion. This song is just so unlike her style, and that's probably why i like it,because i really detest most of her songs. It's just cheap r'n b hip.hop or whatever, with lyrics that fail horribly. But anyway..this song is so cute My favorite part : Like your little school mate in the school yard We'll play jacks and uno cards I'll be your best friend and you'll be my, Valentine Yes you can hold my hand if you want to 'Cause I want to hold yours too We'll be playmates and lovers and share our secret worlds But it's time for me to go home It's getting too late and dark outside, I need to be with myself in center, clarity Peace, Serenity

Ok, the best non-metal song of the 90's in my opinion is "A Girl Like You" by Edwyn Collins. It's just so catchy and alll the the instruments blend so well. I have been listening to it a lot lately so it my current fav non-metal song.

Radiohead - Like Spinning Plates Studio version only, piano version sounds too coldplay. I love the song though.

"save Me from My Course" by the mexican dark/electro band Rabia Sorda (Deaf Anger). It's only one man, but he's incredibly talented, and has an awesome voice. you should chek out their myspace.

Rihanna - Umbrella (featuring Jay-Z) First heard this song in the MTV Movie Awards and, with that sole listen, the song got stuck in my head. Months later, with the names of both the artist and the song left to the unknown to me, that song popped from my mind out of nowhere and I looked for it over the Internet and currently I am pretty much into it. The lyrics revolve around what is the promise of the unconditional of friendship and it is kind of refreshing, when I think about the recurring theme of love in songs from the same genre. I don't feel like researching for more songs from Rihanna because I am well prejudiced in discarding the possibility of 'consistency' in other songs from artists of such genres. Is like one hit wonder. I could be very wrong though.

O Teatro Magico- O Anjo Mais Velho http://youtube.com/watch?v=1aYphIcT_sE is simply beautyful with great lyrics, and it is awesomely performed live. What I also love about this band is their attitude towards money, I mean without a record deal they sold over 200,000 copies of their first album for 5bucks each (average price in brazil is about R$25.00) all sold at their concerts.

It's an oldie, but I'm still addicted to Joy Division's "New Dawn Fades" from their "Unknown Pleasures" album. I like it far more than their more famous "Love Will Tear Us Apart". "New Dawn Fades" is one of the most depressing, yet beautiful songs I've ever heard. Just don't listen to it if you're suicidal.

"Shivna" by Bill Whelan....composed for choir sequence of the Riverdance folk dance act...."Shivna" is the rough English pronunciation of the original title "Suibhne"(pronunciation is "Shyvnye").....a spellbinding song...I also like it for it strongly resembles Estonian old folk songs and ethnic choir style....and it's sung in Middle Irish.....
