Who is a poker player/fan? I play texas hold'em every day at work with my guys during breaks and lunches and we try to get together in the "garage" and play a serious tournament once a month. I also like to watch poker on tv...especially the WSOP and WPT. My favorite pro is Phil Hellmuth and NOT because he is from my home state of Wisconsin

I play Texas Hold'em on pc (not against live opponents)...and once i played it in pub with friends and managed to won 150 czk (cca $6) after two games we held...it is really thrilling and great game...i especially like it is not based on chance that much, more likely on your knowledge and strategy

You only think so then you'll meet someone who really PLAYS it and you'll see how you suck hard

it happened to me the night i won those money from it - i won by total luck only - after flop i put all in while there were 4 cards to straight...my opponent had this straight already...but on the river there came the missing card to my straight, so we ended in split...i should be out, instead i played further (have nothing but luck another two times later) and finally won

I love playing texas hold'em and also other variants like Omaha . I already played it before the big poker boom appeared and I think I'm also not a bad player

I play (almost) every Tues-ay Texas... with my soccerfrien-s after training. We play for 5 years now. Some guys are playing 2 or 3 times a weak plus online. I love the game, but one evening can cost you like 60 or 80 euro (without booze) so I stick to one time in a week.

Well I do play Hold'Em on PokerStars quite a lot. Till now I haven't managed to earn any big amounts of money, but I do play lots of tournaments, which are for me the most thrilling I don't know it's just a lot of fun for me to play this...I also play sometimes with my friends (live), which is also a good fun.

Thursday night i played Texas Hold'em with some friends, lost with 2 Kings as the first cards, another King was the card turned over right before the flop, my best friend had a Queen and an Ace with another Ace in the flop, and i had ALL IN so i lost in a very epic way lol, in total i lost 10 Ron which isn't that much(the equivalent of 3 dollars, or the real equivalent, as in, how much money this means here, of 10 dollars), which is enough to make me want to take my revenge and play a tournament haha.

before that though i managed to bluff a guy with an Ace and a 6(and nothing on the flop) or something and i won the hand hahaha, should have seen the look on his face.

Hm...two Kings in hand are nothing when Ace on the table...you should tried to force your opponents to fold before flop, that gives you better chances than waiting for what will be

i once lost with two queens in hand and one on the table...because my opponent build straight from his hand and from cards on table, i was so concentrated on 3 queens i have (after flop) i didnt pay attention to other cards

but so far best moment i have in poker - i was raising, hoping in flush and after river i was really able to build it, so i went all in, while my opponent didnt believed...i really won a lot of chips

A friend of mine lost with 7 7 in hand, 4 2 7 on the flop. some asshole gave a big raise, so he went all in knowing that he just can't beat his hand. he had 95% chance of winning it, the other guy had 8 8, and on the river, guess what... 8! he lost 8$, but it's not a problem, he played his hand superbly and the other guy had a retarded amount of luck and played the hand very very sloppy.

Reminds me of something that happened to me. There were just me and this friend left, he had more money but after the flop I had already three K's. He played my all in and guess what...on the river he got the A he needed to have three of a kind -.-

yeah but the chances of that happening are simply ludicrous.. in the long term it's good to play it like this.

Valentin B: i see no reason for not to raise, when you see you have bigger pair than all 3 values on the table...or you always presuming someone has triple in this case?

That was totally correct to call the all in, he has top pair and that's easily enough to call in that case! And moreover your friend was really lucky to hit the 7 on the flop, so that's a hand he can't complain about

The odds of flopping a set when u have a pocket pair is 11.8% or a ratio of 7.5 to 1 ... very poor odds ... hence why it's so hard to put someone on a set!

My Bf got me into Texas 2 years ago (or so)? When I started going out with him anyway.

We used to play in this bar. They usually held it on thursdays, main tournaments every three months? Dunno. All I know is I liked going to that bar and playing Texas.
Thus I played for two years. haha. But Im no pro. I play for fun...............usually. =]

My Favorite is Phil Laak and that big mouth Daniel Ngreanu...however you spell his last name.

Just came back from a texas holdem cash game session, after about 6 hours of playing i left with 50 Ron from a 10 Ron buy-in (if you're from the USA imagine cashing out with 50 $ from a 10 $ buy in, or for EU people, 50 euros with 10 buy-in)... there was this guy who got really tilted and played like shit, i bluffed them all quite a few times.. i'm pretty satisfied i'd say the good thing is that i don't really have a playing style, it was only my second live hold'em cash game, so i'm extremely unpredictable(at least that's how i see it).

thanks man. for most hands we were 7 people, sometimes 6 when a guy was calling his girlfriend or gone to take a smoke etc. as for memorable hands hmm....

this guy was really bored and put me all-in with an Ace and a 3 or something(previously i didn't call an all-in and he had another shit hand and i had 2 2 ), and i called it with Q J... i finally got the Q on the river, he didn't get shit haha.

another time i got the straight on the flop, and i was in the pot with another 2 guys, so i check trying to get them to raise.. they all check and check and check until i raise on the river and they fold(i previously raised pre-flop), i didn't play it well because i had to bet only a bit to get them hooked. anyway i got a few cash out of that too.

another time i got a Q/J full house on the river if i remember correctly, and this guy tried to bluff me but i wouldn't back down lol
and lastly, this guy who is recognized as the best poker player in the group and i went in a showdown, i had a decent pair with something on the table(10 10 or something), he didn't raise high enough on the river so as to kick me out of the pot so i called. i turned over my cards and he said "failed bluff." and mucked the cards haha.

i won't say i wasn't lucky this time round, it was also my second time EVER playing live poker for cash, and i intend to preserve my erratic unpredictable playing style. i also got the hang of the guys whom i played with, two of them are very loose players(one of them even won a pot after going in the blinds with K 2 suited, the other guy had Q Q or something.. his argument for entering the pot? "they were suited!" ), one of them is a guy who tilts easily(the guy who plays like crap) and folds when i re-raise him, the sign when he's tilted is he says "come on man, let's play some fucking poker!!", and he loses more and more and more.. he had to re-buy himself 3 times, lost something like 30 Ron, another guy has a pretty balanced style, sometimes bluffs, raises(the guy who plays best, and the truth is aside from me he was the best at last night's table), his brother plays pretty tight(the ironic thing is they win lots of money at online texas hold'em with the big stack strategy), and my best friend who was playing in the table too is a balanced/slightly loose player(rarely bluffs or re-raises).
