I'm probably going to sign up for an Egg one too that's for pick up the same location. Only $.50 more than supermarket eggs. I'd be crazy to not do that.
We grow our own vegetables and peaches but we know a friend with a cattle farm out here so we get from them but it’s not delivered, though that would be really nice
So yeah, I'm sure this happens to a lot of people. There is some band that you shouldn't like. There is something wrong with it. You might even think that it's bad . . . But you love it! You nod along to the music and can't help but sing along if you know the lyrics. You love it, and you hate the fact that you love it. So yeah, does this happen to anyone else, and if so, with what bands?
For me, the most obvious one is Rhapsody. They are really really cheesy, and all of their songs sound more or less the same to me. I feel it is all charged with vacuous optimism, and the lyrics are terrible. But yes, I like them. Please don't tell anyone.
Also, I like Bal Sagoth. They are pretty much the cheesiest band on earth, and it is precisely the cheesiness that makes me love them so. The "dark" vocals are anything but creepy and all of the "symphonics" sound fake. It's so bad that it's good!
There are some Emperor songs that I like. I have moral issues with liking Emperor. The black metal act is sometimes interesting, and often funny as hell. I approve of it . . . but only so long as it is an act. Church burning is not cool. Neither is killing people.
I am ashamed of nothing I listen to, since that would mean I am ashamed of myself.
There are some stuff I listen to that the majority of metalheads look down upon, like Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold (even though I am not a fan of neither metalcore, nor nu metal), post-ETD Dimmu Borgir, early Cradle of Filth (I dont like their newer stuff though, but Principle... is awesome) Slaughter of the Soul-era At the Gates (which once again proves how ridiculous this 'tr00 kvltism' is, since that album is so divided even amongst metalheads, AtG purists hate it, generic Gothenburg fans love it, I personally find nothing wrong with it, but The Red in the Sky is Ours is clearly the band's best work).
I also listen to quite a lot of Drum n Base and Electronica.
Meh, Im not ashamed of anything I like. lol Why would anyone like music they're ashamed of? Stupid.
my sentiments exactly, and i posted as much lug knows how many pages and months ago.
Agreed. Why be ashamed of liking certain music? It raises the question of the individual's taste being based off of quality vs the resulting social status/appearance...

I almost cried because I acted so insensitive
I'd love to say that I don't give a shit what people think, but I hate enjoying all (or many of) the popular metal bands like Disturbed, A7X, Atreyu- it's just what introduced me to metal as a younger kid and I've always liked it since haha
I don't give a damn thing about what people think about my choice of what i listen to ....Why to be ashamed about such things when that is part of oneself?
Man this a bad choice for thread name....

"Cross is only an iron, hope is just an illusion, freedom is nothing but a name..."
"Build your walls of the dead stone...Build your roofs of a dead wood..Build your dreams of a dead thoughts"
Same here... I'm not really ashamed, I'm just totally pissed off by people who accuse me of being a poser just because I like them. I'm glad I'm not the only one listening Slipknot here

Strike from behind and knock me to the ground
Kick me while I'm down!
Stab me in the back, you bastards
Tear my heart out of my chest!
I'll rise from the ashes, from these ruins of mine
A dozen of eyes for an eye - vengeance is mine!
Same here... I'm not really ashamed, I'm just totally pissed off by people who accuse me of being a poser just because I like them. Umm.... Grunge? You weren't reffering to Slipknot when you said that, were you? Because that would totally contradict the laws of metal... Anyway, I'm glad I'm not the only one listening Slipknot here
Of course I'm not reffering to Slipknot as a grunge band
Nobody should be ashamed of what they listen to. I make it no secret that I am a die hard crunkcore fan, despite the ridicule I may recieve from it.
Why would anyone be ashamed of crunkcore? It is an absolute cornerstone of modern society. It is a channel for the deepest and most thought provoking lyrics, such as "Let's get freaky now, let's get fucking freaky now".
Without crunkcore, I could safely say, I wouldn't even have a purpose in live...
Scar Symmetry's first couple of albums. Dunno why (especially as I feel no shame in liking a bunch of nu-metal bands), perhaps the shameful melodies and hooks just aren't what I'm used to but revisiting the debut in a quasi-intoxicated state reveals a pleasant strain of nostalgia.
Usually I'm a shameless bastard so it's suprising to me that this is the very first band I don't want to say out loud that I like.
I like Bring Me The Horizon.
Yeah.

Thanks, that being said: I absolutely hate their appearance, the way they act in live shows I've seen in internet, their interviews, I pretty much dislike them as persons completely yet somehow I dig their music.
