If you want sludge, then I would recommend Rwake or Deadbird. Also more into post-metal/sludge Consciousness Removal Project and sludge/doom Bloody Panda. And I guess Cult of Luna, Baroness, Kylesa are something everyone knows anyway.

Don Caballero (really wacky instrumental post-rock, not necessarily displayed on this song):

This is off their first album. Take a look into their works and you'll see what I mean by wacky. I guess they would be more accurately labeled as experimental/avant-garde but there is that post-rock flavor as well.

Polvo (this is a shot in the dark but I think some of you might like this):

Take a look at this. Their second album, released in 2007, fell into my hands today. Post prog rock/metal/hardcore & ambient. Beautiful, menacing, refreshing:

Didn't like the first teaser. It's along the lines of BitterCold's statement : SSDB (same shit different band)
I did like the second, a bit of noise rock to clear the sinuses

Listen to the whole and you'll hear a lot more here. Their music is quite varied. Lots of instrumentation (including flutes, piano, cello, etc) with a good, versatile vocals.
In a word - a really interesting atmo post-cocktail

Another amazing solo project. Although it's just an EP, you can hear all the blood, sweat and tears put into this.

I think their latest one extended their sound significantly but their debut remains my favourite as well so far.

Can't say I have, but the new album is sounding solid, not really relevant to this particular thread though.

More commercial, for all of you GIAA geeks (including myself), 65daysofstatic released a new album.

I've just seen them live yesterday.

They put up a damn energetic show, nearly constantly moving on stage and got the audience moving nicely.

Was a bit sad though they haven't played Drove Through Ghosts... but Radio Protector and I Swallowed Hard... compensated .
