Good topic, since I've been wondering the same. I remember listening to Leviathan - Massive Conspiracy Against All Life the first time when I was sick, and somehow it made me feel even worse which resulted in me not being able to enjoy this album ever since because it reminds me of feeling bad. but strangely enough the last time I've been sick I found out about Caladan Brood - Echoes Of Battle on youtube by accident and listened to one song several times which actually made me forget about my sickness a bit.
so yeah I dunno if it depends on the quality or the mood of the music or just the sickness but one thing is for sure, music can affect you while beeing sick and better or worsen your state (at least for me)

What a crack up question..depends how sick i am, i'm obviously not going to be listening to metal while throwing up and shitting everywhere, but a cold or head ache goes down nicely with some atmospheric ambient or deppresive BM.

oh I apologize if it sounded rude, but erm ... so many times guys refer to their that part of body too, is it really rude to talk about a part of my body ? :/ I don't know, but anyway pussy has so many different meanings, but what I said... hmmm I don't think that it is that rude, actually it had humor too.

It's definitely not the same thing when I'm sick. I can't stand anything extreme in general, and I don't want to discover new albums, because I'm not totally focused on the music.

So I prefer listening to my good old prog albums

I may have mentioned it before, but when I was sick I was cured by listening Pantera for two hours.

Hungover ill, definitely. The more abrasive the better.

It depends on what metal bands we're talking about. I won't listening to Marduk or Cannibal Corpse for sure, but bands like Summoning, Alas or Katatonia are ok.

Yeah, normally I don't get sick during a fest but when I get home the sickness kicks in.
And sometimes I had a bad day during a fest but then you can go listen to the bands, get drunk again and all your worries are over

True, the last few festivals I went to I actually had some rough days because I started drinking wine at festivals instead of beer. I mean, they're both cheap and terrible, but at least the (red) wine doesn't have to stay cold. And no matter how good our cool box is, the beer is always warm (or gone) by the last day.

What if I wan't to headbang to Blackmore's Night until I recover?
