Ya, perhaps they named themselves after the King Diamond track?

Or they really like At The Gates.

Panzerballet's latest is awesome. Metal is just an influence, but I feel more comfortable posting this here than and the non-metal thread. The band is more of a jazz-fusion/funk rock approach.
Oh, and they are weird as fuck.

They are instrumental band but they popped some vocals for this cover.

Arkhamin Kirjasto, album is out Sept. 7

I actually knew about them a few months ago, but then forgot about it. Just added the album to my list. I don't know if it's national pride (which I generally have none), the fact that Samae Koskinen and Jussi Lehtisalo seem like such unlikely people to make a metal collaboration (one being an indie popper/singer-songwriter and the other being known from experimental stuff like Circle or the psychedelic pop of Rättö & Lehtisalo), but I think it's a really neat record. Well-produced, groovy and a little melodic death metal. Definitely one of the year's best non-experimental death metal albums.

The best black metal releases this year? I'm searching for a more atmospheric (not necessarily post or gaze) or industrial black metal.

I'm not as much of a black metal buff as some here, and my opinions may be somewhat unorthodox. But the new Blut aus Nord (though only borderline industrial BM), A Forest of Stars and Alkerdeel (sludgy and raw) are the shit. Nachtmystium was positively received, managing to sound psychedelic and unique without resorting to gimmicks, but I wasn't amazed by it.

Oh, and I almost forgot Merrimack and Reverence on the industrial BM field. Both are worth checking out.

Just checked out the new Blut aus Nod and it may be my favourite of the trilogy. I checked Alkerdeel (really good) and A Forest of Stars (dunno what to think about this one). Thanks for all the recommendations I'll try to check them out too.

Cool. Now there's also the new An Autumn For Crippled Children out. Atmospheric/blackgaze stuff. A bit different from their previous albums but in the same general direction. It's pretty nice.
