i saw video few days ago, and i had say it's not good one, it's very cheap video in my opinion and it's focused alot on Tomi,(vocal)

I got my copy of Silent Waters today.
Although , like most of you I had already heard it anyway.
In my opinion it follows on perfectly from Eclipse.
Not one bad track on the whole album.

I don't know, "Silent Waters" is basically in the same formula as "Eclipse" was, but it seems the life has been sucked out of the songs on "Silent Waters." The video (the actual video and the song itself) are boring and seem hollow. I just can't get into any of the songs in this new CD... I don't hate any of them because the sound and production is great, but it doesn't mask the lack of genuine emotional investment in this CD. It just seems the band is resting on its success of "Eclipse" and doesn't think anyone will notice that this new CD is lacking all the energy of "Eclipse." I wanted to like "Silent Waters," but I think I've listened to enough to realize that there's nothing there for me...

well Far From The Sun is not worst, but it's not so good like other albums
i read somewhere Esa said that Pasi is one to be blamed for bad Quality of the Album, and that is the only album he would be recorded again with Tomi J, on vocals

in my opinion amorphis form the start workin great they did change their style alot but they still kick ass, and they r still great in job they doing
im just lookin forward to see them live for the first time in my life, next year in may in Zagreb

lol i searched Kalevala for ages, but on bosnian or serbo croatian... and looks like mission imposible, but im stillsearcing
and what i found a tickect for amorphis show in Zagreb in amy i can wait to see them live

I'm glad someone brought this thread back up.
Amorphis is something I found about only half a year ago, before they released "Silent Waters", and right on the first time I laid ears on it I found it very... refreshing. Somewhat different from what I was listening to at the time, and it was quite pleasant.
But although I like them very much, that won't make me buy Kalevala's portuguese translation.

It is indeed good. I ordered it a week ago from amazon. and my dad said he's going to give it to me as Bday present! (along with the other CD and DVD I ordered.
Am Universum is teh album that got me into Amorphis, it'sa really dark, and melancholic, and Pasi Koskinen sound friggin' amazing.
