Maybe Likferd is not the best work that Windir gave us, but for some that like the more blackened style think it's great, it's just about taste in music...

It sounds a bit worse than usual songs and the song list isn' t really for me but it' s good. And i don' t understand why don' t you talk about Sogneriket demo. It has got awesome musical ideas.

Written by Bad English on 24.04.2007 at 10:55 I agree that all Windir albums are amazing but Windir changed it's style. If you don't see difference between Likferd and Sóknardalr then.....eh... For example Sóknardalr is really melodic while Likferd (and 1184) is more brutal and faster. Anyway i think that Windir style is shown better on Arntor and Sóknardalr.

The cover art for '1184' is a painting by the artist J.C. Dahl, and the 'SognaMetal' DVD cover is another painting by Adolph Tidemand. I don't know if the work of either of these artists was used by Emperor or Dimmu though. I know Emperor used some of Gustave Doré's engravings as their artwork, but I don't recall hearing Dahl's or Tidemand's names in relation with any of their covers.
