One of Blliigghhtted's candles was suddenly blown away as one of the members, Ruhan, committed suicide during December 2015? But just like the embers of a candle can ignite a new flame, Ruhan's unfortunate death is the main force behind the final album by this project.

Into The Cunt Of The Witch can be seen as a study on suicide. The lyrics on this black metal tale deal heavily with death, suicide, religion, society and the uncertainty behind these concepts. All this through the mind of the deceased member and what could have possibly leaded to her demise. The album is divided in 4 movements with each one covering different lyrical themes while subtle yet effective musical changes take place as well. "Black Flame" kicks off in a straightforward fashion with solid and dissonant black metal mixed with just a tiny bit of death metal here and there for extra oomph. The songs are fairly short but make their point clear with their viciousness and fast pace.

Things slow down with "Illusion", as this movement starts off with hypnotic leads which eventually become more chaotic with time. The vocals are sung quite freely, almost like a narration of Ruhan's life yet they flow well with the music, changing from higher screams to throaty growls and even low, nearly lamenting, clean vocals depending on the music and lyrics. The second half of the album covering the themes of (Ruhan's) death and suicide provides a more dynamic songwriting with slower doomy passages and plenty of melancholic melodies as if they were announcing the upcoming tragedy.

All in all, Into The Cunt Of The Witch is quite the harrowing album. The subject matter and the lyrics related to it are intriguing but do not take over the music. The album changes voices with ease and at times it makes it hard to truly describe its' sound as the elements involved make up an homogenous style. Fans of erratic, chaotic yet oddly melodic metal should dive into this cunt!

Just heard the Illusion movement. Actually sounds really good. Maybe a little Axis of Perdition-y (first album anyway).

Very well written and pretty accurate review. Having talked to Chaoscunt in great depth about the ideas behind this album before it was actually released, I feel like I gained an even greater appreciation of it when it was actually out and I listened to it. The themes behind it are... very distressing to say the least, but present interesting ways of looking at life and our role and purpose in it, for people who like to think about that kind of stuff. It's quite the existential album. I'd really suggest the intrigued follow along with the lyrics while listening, to fully take in what this work is all about

I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the circle. “Come unto me” is a foolish word: for it is I that go.

I feel like the guitarist and drummer are playing completely different songs half the time on this album. The "riffs" don't really do anything. No thanks on this release. Maybe there would be some redeeming qualities if I cared about lyrics, but I don't.

Heh, I accidentally had some Harold Budd playing in the background when listening to this and thought it was a really interesting, jarring mixture of ambient and black metal. That aside, I enjoy it a lot more than their previous releases, though not quite my favorite type of bm

Interesting title, to say the least. Conceptually it reminds me a lot of Woods of Ypres's Woods V, and I'm very interested in finding more works in a similar vein, so I will definitely have to check this out.

I want to echo the feelings of my brah right here. In this case listening to the album while reading the lyrics actually do enhance the album quite a bit, secially the Illusion and Death movements which imo feature the better half of the album and same goes for the lyrics.
Definitely an existential album (using the term in the least cheesy/cliche way possible).

I love those lyrics, i look at life in as similar way a lot of the time (minus the animal stuff) the metaphors they use and the way they put it all on paper is great.
