I wouldn't buy one. Leasing seems to be the way to go for EVs.

Yeah you basically have to dedicate it to city commute solely. Plus, once the battery starts to fade, what do you do then? Scrap it? I know this is a problem now with a lot of the first gen Nissan Leafs.

Even if there were an affordable EV station wagon, its range would be less than 200km if it were fully loaded, with a trailer and a box on top.

That's the other thing with EVs. Their utility is severely limited. I have driven station wagons for all my life because of festivals.

I'll end up driving a $2000-3000 used cheap 4 cylinder car that gets 50mpg.

I love driving too, and I travel lots of my racing (Just did 2500km this weekend). I just bought a van to dedicate for that. An EV would make sense for me as my daily driver but the initial cost is too high.

What's severely lacking here is EV infrastructure. If I had a way to charge an EV, I'd have one.
