As evidenced by YouTube suggested videos and Napalm Records' entire catalog, there are far too many cookie-cutter female-fronted symphonic and/or power metal bands. It's nearly impossible to find any good ones that don't sound like a crappy Evanescence tribute band trying to rip off Nightwish while drunk.
This list contains some more obscure bands for symphonic metal fans who are looking for more female-fronted metal that isn't obnoxious gothic girl-rock.
