Talvienkeli - Biography

Biography

Talvienkeli is a progressive symphonic metal band which takes its roots in France, near Lyon. It was born from the merger of two musical projects in 2012 with, on the one hand, keyboard player and main composer Pierre Cordier and guitarist Pierre Besançon; and, on the other hand, drummer Paul Sordet, guitarist Camille Vadin and singer and songwritter Camille Borrelly. Bass player and graphic designer Laëtitia Bertrand joining a short while after and last but not least singer Sandre Corneloup.

Talvienkeli eventually records its first EP "Blooming" with this line-up in 2014. Nonetheless, Sandre Corneloup decides to leave the band this same year and so does Camille Vadin in February 2015.

Now composed of 5 members, Talvienkeli goes along with its own style, under the influence of each member's favourite bands (Nightwish, Epica, Behemoth, Porcupine Tree, Five Finger Death Punch?). Since the fall of 2013, the band gives more and more performances. Talvienkeli thus shares its original songs filled with orchestrations, rythmical technicity and troubled stories told in the language of Shakespeare by a classical/rock voice.

In 2016, Talvienkeli signs a contract with the label WormHoleDeath and launches the production of its first album, "Hybris", which is released at spring 2017 in Europe, in the U.S.A and in Japan.
