Biography
Saratan (arab. Cancer) came into existence in the year 2003 in Kraków, Poland.
It was formed by Jarosław Niemiec, Wiktor Niemiec, Adam Augustyński and Maciek Dudek. After some line-up changes, The band started recording their demo album in December 2005 in ZED Studio, under Tomek Zalewski's supervision. It was finished in January 2006. The Demo cd "Infected with Life" received very good marks in heavy metal magazines and webzines across the world.
One year later the band decided to record full length album. Saratan entered Studio X (Vesania, Rootwater), Olsztyn in September 2007. Debut cd entitled "The Cult of Vermin" was ready in mid October 2007 and released by Italian label: My Kingdom Music at 18th April 2008.
In May 2009 Saratan entered Hertz Studio (Vader, Decapitated) and recorded their second album - entitled "Antireligion". It was recorded by Wiesławscy brothers, and it includes 3 guest solos (by Wacek "Vogg" Kiełtyka, Jacek Hiro and Daniel Kesler). Once more cd was released by My Kingdom Music at 4th June 2010.
The band made a video clip for "Destroy Yourself" (available at youtube.com), and played a tour with Sadist, Virgin Snatch and Crionics.
From mid 2011 to early 2012 Saratan worked on new, third album entitled "Martya Xwar".
