Biography
Caedeous is a symphonic black / extreme metal project from composer and instrumentalist Paulo J. Mendes whose sound concept tries to reflect the narration of horror stories with a dark and aggressive atmosphere.
In 2017, Caedeous released the debut album "Domini Tenebrarum", which also saw the release of a dedicated orchestral counterpart in 2018. the follow-up "obscurus perpetua" was release on 22nd March 2022. The album was very well welcomed by the press.
In 2022, Paulo J. Mendes started composing the 3rd studio album titled "Malum Supplicium" and the album sees new additions to the studio and live line-up, such as Rich Gray (annihilator) as studio session bass player, Douglas Melchiades for guitars, Federico Leone (modern age slavery) as drummer and Rosmerta as mezzo soprano.
The album "malum supplicium" has been produced, mixed, and mastered by Rich Gray at Gray Matter Studios.
On 2022, 17th December 2022, Caedeous has signed a album deal with deutsche label Black Sunset / MDD RECORDS ( https://www.mdd-records.de ), the 3rd album will have a 2023 spring release.
With the 3rd album release, the journey is just begun... Caedeous eagerly awaits to unleash its music on a stage near you during 2023, in festivals and special live event.
