Helheim - Finish Work On New Album

Norwegian Viking metallers Helheim have completed work on what will be the band's ninth full-length album, which is set for release on Dark Essence Records in January 2017. In the run-up to the release of the album, which will be titled landawarijaR, the band will be releasing two videos of tracks from the album, the first of which will appear in November.

Art X - New Project From Vocalist Gabriele Bernasconi

Following the split-up of Clairvoyants, the vocalist Gabriele Bernasconi focused all his energies on a new metal opera project called Art X, and releases now, by the Melville Records, its first record named Redemption Of Cain. The opera tells the biblical story of Cain and Abel from the point of view of Cain, and was partly inspired by Lord Byron's work "Cain - A Mystery" published in 1821. Artificial Brain - New Album In 2017

Artificial Brain have announced new tour dates with Cognitive this January. The tech death metallers' new album is due out in the spring of 2017 and it's "pretty mindblowing" according to their label Profound Lore Records. The band released its debut album, Labyrinth Constellation, back in 2014.

Sabaton - Announce N. American Headlining Tour

Swedish metal heroes Sabaton announced they will be returning next year for a North American The Last Tour headlining trek. The band will be touring in support of their eighth album, The Last Stand. The tour will kick-off on April 20th at The Trocadero in Philadelphia, hit 7 Canadian cities plus Chicago, Anaheim, Dallas, and conclude at The Fillmore in Silver Springs, Maryland on May 22nd. For the first time since 2012, Sabaton will headline a tour in USA and Canada!

Wacken Open Air - Festival Site Undergoes Major Excavation

It is known as the "Holy Wacken Land," but during this autumn, the infield in Wacken, Germany, where the world's biggest heavy metal festival takes place, looked like a lunar landscape first and then a desert. Large infrastructure measures for drainage and securing the area required special treatment.

Klimt 1918 - Share First Song From New Album

The alternative/shoegaze band Klimt 1918 just shared their first song from the long-awaited new album, Sentimentale Jugend. The album will be released by Prophecy Records on December 2nd. It takes inspiration from short-lived experimental noise act of the same name founded by Alexander Hacke, best known for his work with the Einstürzende Neubauten (an experimental industrial project inspired by the historical avant-garde of the 20th century), and Christiane Flescherinow, the famous writer of "We Children From Bahnhof Zoo". Judas Priest - Update On New Album, Start Recording In January

Dissident aggressors Judas Priest are working on a new album to follow Redeemer Of Souls (2014) and guitarist Richie Faulkner was recently interviewed by Sweetwater editorial director Mitch Gallagher during "Making Hard Rock Look Easy", a three-day recording master class which was held October 20-22 at Sweetwater's campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The band has been in the studio working on new songs but the actual recording will begin in January. The album is expected in 2017.

Former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes, now the mastermind behind Mean Man, has uploaded video footage of his upcoming reality show Holmes Sweet Holmes. Chris and his wife/manager Cathy-Sarah Holmes are starring in a new reality-show project. Twenty episodes have reportedly been filmed, with the first episode set to be released in the coming weeks.
