Mayhem - Debut New Song

Mayhem just premiered the third song off Esoteric Warfare. You can't really complain because the black metal band has shared quite a bit of new material before the album release. Mastodon have finally unveiled the very detailed cover artwork that will grace their new album, titled Once More 'Round The Sun. The cover was created by the artist Skinner and you can feast your eyes on it below; it's very colourful. We now also know the album tracklist and release date, which is June 24th via Reprise. The SLoT - Singer Released From Hospital

A week-and-a-half ago, we received the horrifying news that The SLoT's vocalist Daria "Nookie" Stavrovich had been stabbed before a signing session in Saint Petersburg. After a stint in the intensive care unit, some surgery, blood transfusions, and close supervision, Nookie has been released from the hospital.

Helrunar - To Record New Album In May

Good news from Helrunar! The black metal duo announced that they will record a new album to follow Sól. After releasing the split Fragments - A Mythological Excavation last year, Skald D. and Alsvartr will enter Klangschmiede Studio E in May to record a new full-time-album in cooperation with Markus Stock as producer. The title will be Niederkunfft and the release is scheduled for October or November 2014.

Queensrÿche - Reach Settlement With Geoff Tate

It appears like there will no longer be two Queensrÿches. Singer Geoff Tate and his former band mates have reached an agreement and the legal battle is over. After two different versions of Queensrÿche appeared following a split with the long-time singer, a lawsuit had resulted in a ruling that each side could use the same name until the case went to trial or was settled. Both sides now seem relieved with the outcome and are ready to move on. Queensrÿche, fronted by Todd La Torre, will continue touring and recording as Queensrÿche while Geoff Tate will pursue other endeavours and have exclusive rights to perform Operation: Mindcrime I and II in their entirety.

Pensées Nocturnes - 'Grotesque' To Be Released On Vinyl

Good news for Pensées Nocturnes fans. The one-man black metal project of Vaerohn will get the vinyl treatment since the Finnish label Blood Music will release its second album Grotesque (2010) on vinyl. Haken - UK Tour With Leprous And Maschine

Proggers Haken have recently confirmed that they will join forces with Leprous and Maschine for a UK and Irish tour later this year. The three bands will tour in October and November 2014, showcasing some of the progressive talent that InsideOut have to offer. Haken released The Mountain last year while Leprous will showcase their latest release Coal. Brighton-based progressive rockers Maschine released their debut album Rubidium last August. Looks like a fun tour in prospect.
