Finnish doom metal band Kypck have parted ways with drummer Kai H.M. Hiilesmaa, and recruited former Charon drummer Antti Karihtala to replace him. It is however very possible that he will produce Kypck's albums in the future as well.

The musical collaboration between Lou Reed and Metallica, entitled Lulu, will be released on November 1 in North America via Warner Bros. Records and one day earlier (October 31) in the rest of the world through Universal Music.

The CD was co-produced by Reed, Metallica, Hal Willner ? who has produced albums for Reed, Marianne Faithfull, and Laurie Anderson, among others ? and Greg Fidelman. Fidelman also mixed the record.

Descendant XII, the new upcoming album from Malaysian melodic black metal band Hayagriva will be released on September 2011 via Malaysia-based label Khakan Productions.

The follow-up to 2007's Red Heaven was recorded between 2009 to 2011 at several studios in Malaysia.

According to a statement, this will be the band's best release so far. Featuring 11 brand-new tracks (plus one hidden bonus track), the songs will have more pace and intensity in all departments, as hinted in the Emperor Awaits single.

Apollo will be back with Firewind for their North American Frets Of Fury tour in October (with Arsis, White Wizzard and Nightrage). Apollo's replacement for the European Defiance Over Europe dates is the hugely talented singer Mats Levén (ex-Therion, Yngwie Malmsteen, Krux).
