Folk metal powerhouse Korpiklaani have parted ways with their long-time drummer Matti "Matson" Johansson. Replacing his spot as a permanent solution is Samuli Mikkonen (Profane Omen). Folk-infused metal bands Korpiklaani and Eluveitie will team up this fall for a co-headlining North American tour. Korpiklaani will be touring in support of their latest Kulkija album, while Eluveitie in support of Ategnatos, which was released just ten days ago. Joining them in support will be Gone In April. Korpiklaani will start their world tour next month, with touring across the European lands. Now, the group confirmed the next batch of dates, this time for Australia and New Zealand. It will go through in May and will include Australian folk metal group Troldhaugen as support. Korpiklaani will be performing in support of their latest effort, Kulkija, released back in September, 2018.

Just recently, Pyynikin Craft Brewery unveiled a tasty Korpiklaani lager and to celebrate this occasion, the band will release a special tour edition of their new album Kulkija ('Wanderer'), which doesn't only include the regular songs, but also a bonus CD titled Beer Beer. This disk, only available in the physical package, includes 14 versions of Korpiklaani's iconic song "Beer Beer". The first taster has already been released and is now available for streaming in the form of a lyric video. It also features Alestorm vocalist Christopher Bowes.
