most of these bands are black metal legends, and also most influential black metal artist are here like Samoth, Ihsahn, Horgh, Satyr, Varg, Dead, Euronymous and so on.. .but personally i like MayheM now. because today Mayhem's vocalist is Attila who imo is the most talented vocalist of all time. Also i enjoy musix which are made by Ihsahn. but my vote is Mayhem

//Wow is is WWIII! A battle of epic proportions if you will. Great poll! I voted Darkthrone because their music appeals to me more than any other band on this list (not by far though). It was very hard for me to chose them over the genius of Varg in Burzum and Emperor. I like the dark eerie slow vibe that Darkthrone gives off. I love the albums Panzerfaust and Transylvanian Hunger a lot. Very spooky feel to them//

I search about norway and why they are so good in metal business (other nordic countries are good too), I can't find exactly an answer but there is an interesting ambience in there, if you look the history of the bands you can find strange informations about them. In the movie ' Metal A Headbangers Journey' they interview with bands and they get interesting answers.

It was way to hard to choose between all these bands! Black metal is my genre and these are all great bands!! I voted for Enslaved though as it does state "FAVORITE BAND". Darkthrone is now unenjoyable, Emperor is okay these days, but the old shit was classic (Anthems and before, I disliked IX), Burzum has some good shit, but after awhile I get tired of hearing it, and so on and so forth! ALL really great bands! If I had to put them in order of greatest to..not as great (there is no "worst" here!) it would be like this...I suppose.. Voted for Emperor, not so much because I like them (and I really do) but because there's a professor in my college that looks exactly as Ihsahn  Not quite rational reasoning, but I'm having a huge hangover and therefore I can be excused  And also, the fact that there's no Dimmu borgir among the bands you can vote for did surprise me, but I don't mind, I didn't create this topic so I don't have the right to bash someone just because they don't share my taste in music...at least when it comes to bands.
