well,a thread for people who want to know some tips and tricks about singing(melodic,growls,screaming,etc.)and since i'm the starter,i'll start with a question:if you don't have a good voice is it worth it to try and train yourself to be a vocalist or you'll have to live with it?and if you're born with a range,like someone said on ms2,can you improve it or you're just doomed to have the same range forever?

All I can say right now is, just like me with the higher notes, you need to practice. I can hit some very low notes, so it's all natural and normal to me.

The problem for me is that most metal has a very high register and aside from a few vocalists like the guy from Type O Negative or The 69 Eyes almost everything is made for the tenor voice. Does anyone know some other bands who have deep clean vocals?

Cool, figured it as so. Try some Woods Of Ypres, the vocals are a lot like Peter Steele's (Type O Negative).

Singing is weird with me, does anyone else experience this? When I'm trying to sound good I sound like a tortured feline and when I'm just singing for no reason or in front of people who I don't care if hear me sing badly, I sing better than I ever sing. It is cruel irony for performing!
