Well this is a fantastic game that i really enjoy playing, this thread is to discuss the game, no comments about how Morrowind is better etc, see it everywhere and i dont care.

I FINALLY cured vampirism, took a week because i had to collect 40 flowers just to clear my name from the Mages Guild. Then talk to the head guy.

I started my game over completely. Vampirism was too much of a pain to deal with my first time through. I went back, chose the race I wanted to be in the 1st place....Dark Elf. I'm already back to the point where I was in my previous game and having a lot more fun now. Kind of a cheap thing I know but I'm enjoying the game a lot more now.

Currently my favourite game! I play it practically every night! My character is a Dark Elf with high blade and heavy armour skills. Ive done some of the main quests and a lot of side quests. Im the Arch-Mage of the Mage's Guild. Still havent done much of the Fighter's Guild quest...and Ive only done 1 or 2 Daedric Shrine quests. Its a really fun game. I'll definitely play it a second time.

I haven't played in about a week, so I'm just at level ten, and frustrated yet again. Lockpicking is becoming a constant burden to progressing through the game....

If you hate lockpicking, you can get the Skeleton Key from one of the daedric quests. The Skeleton Key is a lockpick that will never break, which could be considered kind of lame by many.

SPOILER:
The shrine (Nocturnal's Shrine) for the quest is by the road that goes east across the river from Leyawiin and then continues north. If you follow the road, you can't miss it.

No problem. And, forgot to mention that you need to be at least level 10 to begin that quest which you seem to be at exactly, hehe. Also The Skeleton key increases your security skill by 40 (I don't really see much use for this because you can just tap the "auto attempt" without being afraid of losing picks... well, of course it increases the chances of success and thus might shorten the time you spend spamming the auto attempt).

Yeah I couldnt handle going into caves or ruins and not being able to open locked chests and what not. So I had to get a Skeleton key...and I did it through that shrine. I also got another one from another quest from the Mages Guild (cant remember where exactly).

I dont think i will buy this game. I bought Morrowind III and it bores me to death! Its not any cool environments. Its repeating itself all the time. Everything you do is to run all over that big world and fight enemies. And the fights are really boring. Is there that big difference between the Elder Scrolls III and IV?

Morrowind was amazing, especially considering it was released in 2002. It's similar to IV, but Oblivion is much larger and looks better. It pretty much improved on every aspect.

But seriously, Morrowind ruled.

Alright, I respect your opinion. You have a right to like or dislike things for whatever reason. I don't know, what kind of games do you normally enjoy playing?

Apologies for the "I hate you" comment.

It gets boring for players who are used to being led by scripts 24/7...
Games like Morrowind requires a quite good level of curiosity and need the gamer to rely on himself, and not on just a principal quest.
It's just a game that tells you "You're on your own, do whatever you want".

That's the beauty of the Elder Scrolls games. You have freedom and are allowed to whatever, whenever. I guess it just doesn't appeal to some....

Considering i hate most RPG's it must say something about this game. I love the freedom thing too, make you own game out of it, make a pretty house, collect stuff, complete quests, kill the annoying fan do whatever, its fun.

The best RPG i have ever played was actually a gameboy advance game believe it or not... a game called Golden Sun, the storyline is unbelievably awesome and the music is beautiful. I wish they made a PC version, in better graphics etc, i recommend this game to people who do mind playing this 2Dish style of RPG.

I enjoy RPGs like Baldurs Gate II , icewind dale II, NWN, Fallout, Planescape Torment... Strategies like Starcraft, Age Of Empire and some action games. Im just playing singleplayer games.

Yeah maybe thats why... I simply cant appriciate it. I liked it the first hour but then i had enough... I played to lvl 33 and the game was'nt getting any better. I can see your point but this game is nothing for me.

Level 33? You played for awhile then. At the end of Morrowind I was around Level 73. So if you still didn't like it after that long, then I guess it's just not for you.

so you can finish the game and keep playing? i was pretty worried because i though that comes the end and that's it, no more. anyway, i'm looking forward to get stronger because in this part where you are in the capital city and have to protect the emperor from the daedras is kinda hard for me. so if you know something that can help me just let me know

Just stand near Martin, he tells you sometime how he knows how to stop them, and you go into the palace. I was killing heaps of the daedra things, and when i ran to Martin he spoke to me.

I was just wondering if you guys use the fast travel or do it old skool and walk? i found myself level 10 and had only done three main quest missions, due to my own curiosity and exploring.

For a while, I just did it the old school walking from place to place. Then I slowly started to use fast travel. Now I just mix it up.

Finally beat the main quest...after 75-80 hours. It was great. I loved it. Now Im going around, finishing side quests like the Daedra Shrines and the Fighters Guild...as well as trying to visit every ruin, cave and mine...etc.

I will probably play the game again, this time as someone who is good with the bow and arrow as well as being strong with magic. My character now is very good with the blade and heavy armour.

I loved it, the greatist game I've ever played a lot of bigger battle's than morrowind and the fighting is much more realistic and the graphic's are the greatist I've ever seen, and here is a few thing's I loved about the game
like the daedric shrine quest (especially Sheogorath's quest) although I'm stuck on the last one Hermaeus Mora's quest I find casting the special soul trap does not always work on the target, another thing I loved was the Dark Brotherhood quests and the arena battles

It took me a while to complete the main quest like for the battle of Bruma it took me about 10 time's to do it without Martin or myself dying
