Dukatalon - Involuntary Action

At their current rate, Dukatalon won't have to navigate their difficult third album until 2030. Involuntary Action should hopefully mean that said record is greeted with slightly more fanfare.

Bands
Live Burial

The idea for Live Burial came from a discussion between vocalist Jamie Brown and Jake Bielby (guitarist for tech-death band Plague Rider) in the summer of 2012; creating music in the vein of Asphyx. Jake immediately set to work and wrote the song "Live Burial". Fellow Plague Rider members Matthew Henderson (drums) and Lee Anderson (bass) were recruited. Richard Codling was looking to join a band and around Easter of 2013 was asked if he wanted to be involved in Live Burial.

Fast forward a couple of months and the first Live Burial show had been announced as support for Vomitor in Newcastle upon Tyne. At this time the band put together the songs that would eventually be rehearsed, played live and recorded for the 2013 demo. This was self-released by the band digitally and on CD/cassette. These quickly sold out. At around this time Jake decided that he wished to concentrate on his other projects and left the band. Rob Hindmarsh, previously of grindcore band Rat Faced Bastard, was then recruited to replace Jake.

Getting Into: Agalloch

Agalloch was my favorite band for a really, really long time, and maybe they still are, maybe not, but I'll always appreciate them for the importance they've had in shaping my musical taste. Having thankfully seen them at one of their last-ever performances is probably one of my proudest lacks of regret, if that makes sense. Deciding to write my first Getting Into, there was really no second-guessing as to which band I would dedicate it to.

Bands
Nite

Nite is a heavy metal band from San Francisco. Formed in 2018 by Van Labrakis (Satan's Wrath, Mencea), Scott Hoffman (Dawnbringer, High Spirits), Bryan Coons (Older Sun, Motorhome) and Pat Crawford (Serpents Of Dawn, Older Sun), Nite delivers traditional heavy metal with blackened vocals, heavily influenced by the n.w.o.b.h.m and the heavy metal titans of the 80s.

Nite brings us back to the golden age of heavy metal. Razor sharp guitars, blazing leads, earth shattering bass and punishing drums set the stage for the filthy, vile and despicable vocals to unfold stories of horror, darkness and despair.
