Pestilence - Announce First Album In Four Years

Recently reunited Dutch tech death metal legends Pestilence announced on their Facebook page that they are going to release a new album later this year, entitled Hadeon. It will be the tech death metal band's first studio album in four years, since Obsideo in 2013.

Juha Raivio - Founds New Band Hallatar

Juha Raivio, the driving force behind Trees Of Eternity and Swallow The Sun, has founded a new band called Hallatar with Gas Lipstick (ex-HIM) and Tomi Joutsen (Amorphis). The band have signed with Svart Records and is due to release their debut full-length, No Stars Upon The Bridge, this autumn. The lyrical content of the album will be based on lyrics and poems written by the late Aleah Starbridge.

Habitants - Crowdfunding Debut Album, Share New Song

Back in 2015, the Rutten brothers, founding members of the legendary Dutch band The Gathering, started a new project Habitants. After two years, the line-up is complete and the band is ready to record their debut album. The crowdfunding campaign turned out to be a success and the recording is tentatively scheduled for a December release.

My Sleeping Karma - Streaming Live Album

A while ago, German psychedelic stoner rockers My Sleeping Karma announced the release of their first ever live album, Mela Ananda. Today, they are kindly offering a full stream of the album over at this location. The album title translates to "a gathering of bliss" and features tracks from all five studio albums in their discography.

Were it not for the thinner production and the slightly distinct vocal style (less articulated and a tad higher in pitch than Johan Hegg's growls), Baruk Khazad could easily pass for Amon Amarth. The barrel-chested melodic death metal popularized by Baruk Khazad's countrymen accounts for the Axes and the Beards; the Mead flows from the familiar folk-like enchantments interspersed throughout.

Avenged Sevenfold - Stagehand Dies After Band's Show In Germany

Avenged Sevenfold's show in Stuttgart ended in tragedy. A stagehand working at the band's concert in Stuttgart, Germany on Monday night (February 20th) was killed when a colleague fell on him as they were dismantling the stage. While the 26-year-old survived the 2:00 a.m. incident with serious injuries, the 19-year-old from Esslingen, identified by the German media only as Marvin P., died at the scene.

Ulver - Reveal New Album Details

Norwegian electronic/avant-garde black metal pioneers Ulver have just revealed the details for their upcoming thirteenth studio album entitled The Assassination Of Julius Caesar. The new album follows up their 2016 effort ATGCLVLSSCAP and will be released by the London based label House of Mythology on 7th April 2017. The artwork and tracklist have been revealed so far. Prog/math metal outfit Skyharbor have announced that they will be supporting Deftones on their upcoming European tour. Gruesome - Announce New EP, Share New Song

More music from Gruesome! The modern purveyors of old-school death metal have announced a new EP entitled Fragments Of Psyche. The EP further continues the band's homage to the legendary band Death and offers a glimpse into the next era of Gruesome. Fragments Of Psyche is due out March 31st via Relapse Records and features a two-song slab of Death Human-era worship including a brand new studio track with special guest drums from Sean Reinert (Death, Cynic) along with a "Humanized" reworking of Death's classic track "Choke On It" off of their second album Leprosy.
