Melvins - New Song Available Online

It seems like the always prolific Melvins recently premiered the first taste of their new record Hold It In. Slayer - Back In The Studio

The thrash legends Slayer are back in the studio to record the 11th album of their career. World Painted Blood, their latest output, came out already five years ago. Tentatively set for release in early 2015, this new record will be the first since guitarist Jeff Hanneman's passing and since drummer Paul Bostaph rejoined after Dave Lombardo was kicked off the band. The band has shared some pictures from the studio sessions. Check them out!

Ensiferum - Enter The Studio In September

Finnish folk metallers Ensiferum are hitting the studio next month to record their upcoming album that follows Unsung Heroes. With pre-production out of the way, the band is prepared to begin recording. Work will begin on September 8th at Astia Studio in Lappeenranta, Finland with producer Anssi Kippo. Fans can expect to hear new music at the beginning of January 2015.

Månegarm - New Album In 2015

Månegarm will celebrate their 20th anniversary with a bang: a new album is to be released at the end of next year. While their latest album Legions Of The North came out just a year ago, they are already thinking about the next one. The Swedish band will also play many shows and the first one confirmed for 2015 is the Aprutium Paganfest at Tipografia Club in Pescara (Italy).

Earth - Primitive And Deadly

Earth require little introduction for fans of drone. Their debut album has become so legendary in the scene that even Stephen O'Malley (a legend in his own right) was inspired to start a project named after one of its tracks. However, the band demonstrated soon after that they were never content to sit in this one style, and have been consistently reinventing themselves ever since. 2014's Primitive And Deadly only continues this trend, further proving that Earth aren't running out of the tricks in their hat anytime soon.

Angrepp

The band was formed in 2005 with the ambition to create black metal with thrash and punk influences. The band had been around a couple of years before but as Draug playing more melancholic black metal. Founding members where Dawid Dahl and Karl Olsson, together with the first drummer Kristian Eidefeldt. Outlaw was recruited as vocalist and Kristian left the band and was replaced by Fredrik Widigs. Progress of recording a demo started quickly, and in 2006 Prepare for the Attack was-self released. Within two years Angrepp was picked up by the American label Abyss Records to record the full-length album, Warfare, that the band had been working on. The well-known Swedish musician Dan Swanö was connected with the band to mix and master the album. Also, Andreas Fröberg joined the band to handle the bass. Warfare got a very good response for the combination of performing blackened thrash with musicality and technique.

Nightwish - Release 'Last Of The Wilds' Special Clip

As they continue to work on their next album that will feature drummer Kai Hahto, Nightwish are sharing a series of five special clips, with impressions of the Imaginaerum world tour. The first two live clips are available below, one for "Last Of The Wilds" (from the album Dark Passion Play) and the other for "Planet Hell" (from the album Once).
