IGNEA is a Ukrainian metal band blending modern sound, symphonic, oriental, and progressive vibes. The active history of the band starts in 2013 when the guys have entered the studio to record their first EP titled Sputnik. Back then, they were called Parallax.

In 2014, the band prepared a follow-up single titled Petrichor, featuring bouzoukitara playing and a guitar solo from Yossi Sassi, at that moment the guitarist of oriental metal fathers band, Orphaned Land.

In 2015, the band finally changed its name to IGNEA and released a new work called Alga, named after a war call of Crimean Tatar people. This song is contributed to Crimeans who are defending their land.

Barren Earth have released the brand new single "Withdrawal", taken off their upcoming album A Complex Of Cages, which will be released on March 30th, 2018 via Century Media Records. Pillorian - U.S. Tour Confirmed

Doomed - Recording New Album

German death/doom act Doomed are currently recording a new album, which means the follow-up to Anna is coming. Titled 6 Anti-Odes To Life, it will feature 7 new tracks and the live musicians have been more involved and contributed to the new album, expected in May.

Dan Swanö - 80s Demos And Live Recordings To Be Released

If you like Dan Swanö's work, you might want to check out this compilation. Long before Tobias Forge achieved worldwide fame with Ghost, there was another Swedish hard rock band with the same name. In 1983, then 10-year-old Dan Swanö started Ghost with his 12-year-old friend Anders Måreby, drawing influences from KISS and other classic rock groups of the late '70s and early '80s. It was six years prior to when Dan Swanö founded the death metal group Edge Of Sanity. The young duo composed 60 songs between 1983 and 1988, most of them sung in Swedish but a few in English as well. They made several demo and live recordings but never landed a record deal despite their best efforts.

Runemagick - Recording New Album

Swedish death/doom metal underdogs Runemagick went on hiatus after the release of Dawn Of The End. Now the band is back and working on a new album, Evoked From Abysmal Sleep, currently being recorded. Blitzkrieg - New Album Coming

Blitzkrieg was part of the NWOBHM movement back in 80's. Now the band is back and will release their new album, Judge Not! on April 27th via Mighty Music. The follow-up to 2013's Back From Hell was recorded at Downcast Base HQ in Newcastle, U.K. by Phil Davies, but the band elected to use a different studio this time around for mixing. Because the Blitzkrieg members all admire the work of Denmark's Hansen Studios, most notably the mix of the Pretty Maids' Pandemonium album, they enlisted Jonas Haagensen from Hansen to mix Judge Not!.
