For Today

Even in the face of seemingly "impossible" odds, there's always a way to muster enough strength to soldier on and cross the finish line victoriously.
That goes for all facets of life. If you're willing to disregard the naysayers, forget the doubters, and defy the odds, you can accomplish anything. The story of Sioux City, IA hardcore and metal outfit For Today remains one of triumph. Breaking out of Iowa is hard enough. When you're playing heavy music with a Christian message, it's even harder. Still, the quintet—Mattie Montgomery , Ryan Leitru , Brandon Leitru , Sam Penner , and David Puckett —consistently persevered, and it's all documented on their brand new DVD film and five-song EP, the appropriately titled, Prevailer .

Bands
Fondlecorpse

Well what the fuck is Fondlecorpse , the project has been around since 1996, at that time The Goregnome was drawing some sick perverted shit and he drew a picture and thought FONDLECORPSE, now this would be a great name for a band for a totally disgusting deathmetal band. Now you will say why isn't there still any material recorded, to make a long story short, lots of line ups some even came close to recording but in the end it always fell thru because people left fucked up got kicked out etc etc. In '99 it seemed we would be hitting the studio, and yup bye bye drummer. And the torment continued.

Bands
Humanity Delete

Humanity Delete was originally formed sometime around 2003 by Rogga Johansson (Paganizer, Ribspreader, Demiurg, Bone Gnawer and many, many more). Some demo material was recorded but it was put aside for many years. In 2012, the band was resurrected from the dead, so to speak. Rogga single-handedly recorded 11 of the most grinding, raw, dirty and ugly death metal tracks imaginable with a grind/punk approach. Jill Girardi (Dead Beat Media), who has been living in Malaysia for about three years, was asked to write lyrics with the theme of Asian ghosts and creepy legends. Anyone who has read up on the ghost lore of Asia knows it is one of the most terrifyingly haunted regions of the earth. To make it even better, Lasse Pyykkö (Hooded Menace, Phlegethon, Ruinebell) was recruited to add a few solos to the music, giving it an even rawer feeling! The debut CD from Humanity Delete is out now, titled Never Ending Nightmares and was released on Dead Beat Media on December 4th 2012. It includes artwork by Adam Geyer, Ironworx Gravefix and Dzul Skam (Weot Skam, Kandar Mosh Distro, Dead Beat Media).

Bands
Empty Tremor

Everything starts in 1993, when a strong passion for music united five kids from Mezzano, near Ravenna (Italy).
With the initial name of "Noise Pollution" Stefano Ruzzi (drums, 14 years old), Christian Tombetti (guitar, 15 years old), Dennis Randi (bass, 16 years old), Marco Guerrini (guitar, only 12!) and Davide De Paoli (singer), the band started with covers from Metallica, Guns'n'Roses, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin but they were already thinking about composing their own stuff. They were noticed by Daniele Liverani, 23 years old guitarist, that started jamming with them as keyboard player; he introduced them to progressive and took care of their musical education.

Bands
Greymachine

While his work in Jesu in the 2000s brought Justin Broadrick a lot of respect and admiration from extreme music fans, it also drew him away from the more abrasive, aggressive guitar sound associated with his name due to his work in industrial metal forefathers Godflesh.

To prove to himself and his fans that he still got it, Broadrick started Greymachine, a project dedicated to returning to his roots in ultra-aggressive, extreme sound. Broadrick's frequent collaborators Dave Cochrane (God, Head of David) and Diarmuid Dalton (Jesu) joined the project and some time later Broadrick, looking to expand the sound of Greymachine, invited another co-conspirator, Isis' Aaron Turner. Turner accepted, and that immediately made Greymachine's debut record one of the most anticipated metal records of the year, since the prospect of collaboration between two figures as revered in the modern metal community as Broadrick and Turner had heretofore only been something to fantasize about, not to actually happen. Disconnected, Greymachine's debut record, arrived in mid-2009 and was issued through Turner's Hydra Head label.

Sight Of Emptiness

"Right, quick question, name a metal band from Costa Rica. Come on, the clocks ticking.. you can't? Well, Sight Of Emptiness soon plan on putting that right. Recent winners of the Unsigned Band Contest at Bloodstock 2007, the Costa Rican's funded their own trip over to the UK and, for that determination alone, they deserve your time". Posted by Graham Finney @ (Planet-loud.com UK).

Costa Rica is a small democratic and peaceful country in Central America. When you think of this place, you might think tropical rainforest, stunning beaches, amazing animals and Latin rhythm. Think again! Officially this country has not had an army since 1949, but that does not count for the Army of Metal that Sight of Emptiness has in stock for you.
