As far as I know, Metalcamp hasn't been sold out yet. But who knows... maybe 2011 will be its maiden SOLD OUT edition. I wouldn't worry about it though |
|
|
|
| Quite poor line-up for now....well except Moonspell. |

KREATOR soon to be confirmed... apparently |

Airbourne are a great live band and imo worth their headlining status. |

| Not above Blind Guardian at a metal festival though... even though they only are one above. |

Problem is that Airbourne sells more than Blind Guardian and are more of a festival band than Blind Guardian imo. BG comes across a lot better in small clubs than on a big festival stage. |

Absolutely disagree. Blind Guardian are one of the best bands to have at an open air festival. |

I'm not a big fan of Airbourne, but went to see them last year. Didn't know many of their songs, but it did not matter as the atmosphere and the vibe that the band gave off was amazing.
To see the vocalist/guitarist run through the crowd, up a staircase along a balcony, then jump off, land on the mixing desk whilst playing a solo from the time he left the stage, was worth the entrance fee alone. The fact that I was about a foot from where he landed had me worried as I thought he was just going to dive on to the crowd below. |

He jumped off the balcony in Rock City?? How did both him and the mixing desk survive? |

He sure did.
I've never seen anything like it. That was the most spectacular thing he did. He also played on top of the amp rigs at both sides of the stage, then climbed on to the scaffold lighting supports above the stage, hung from that with one arm whilst still playing with the other. Nutter. |

i concur.. there's nothing quite like that incredibly epic feeling that the band is being drowned out by the audience, like when i saw them in Barcelona back in november, only something like 3000 or so people but still epic as fuck.
the Imaginations Through the Looking Glass DVD is the best proof though. |

With slayer now
for me this is the best metalcamp line up ever!!!!!!!!! |

Reed the official page that is saying some different running order.
I think about it's not the definitive Running Order. |

On the official website they are sorted by days and then alphabetically. Up here they are sorted by days and then by order on the poster/splash page. Listing the bands by popularity might be closer to the eventual running order than sorting them alphabetically, don't you think? |
