Yob have been relatively quiet since they released their last album Atma. Now they share something that isn't exactly new. Instead, the doom metal band is streaming a re-mastered track, "Aeons", taken from their forthcoming Catharsis re-issue. Catharsis is the band's second album and was originally released ten years ago. So, it is the perfect opportunity to repackage, remaster, and reissue the out-of-print and hard to obtain album for its tenth anniversary. Don't be intimidated by the 18 minutes of the track. Besides his ramblings, he has also shared previously unreleased demos of tracks from the album. The three demos, never released publicly until now, are all available below. But there is more. British extreme metallers Cradle Of Filth have premiered a new short film to promote their upcoming foray into graphic novels, The Curse of Venus Aversa, previously unveiled. Produced by Greylight Studios, the movie purports to show a secret ceremony in New Orleans recorded on a hidden camera. The graphic novel itself is co-written by vocalist Dani Filth and New Orleans comic book author Kurt Amacker, and takes place in a Victorian world populated by images, themes, and horrors drawn from the Filth's back catalog. The entire 76-page graphic novel is rendered in black and white art by illustrator Montgomery Borror.

Anubis Gate have been working on their next effort called Horizons for the last two years. The plan was to release it this year, but the band will not meet that deadline. When Anubis Gate recorded Horizons, there were three songs that they didn't know what to do with. First the band will release three albums from its catalog, Äio (2010), Ulg (2011) and Tuska (2012), digitally on November 5th.
