Bassist Colin Edwin has teamed up again with Italian experimental musician Eraldo Bernocchi for a second Metallic Taste Of Blood album, entitled Doctoring The Dead which is now mixed, mastered and scheduled for a May release on RareNoiseRecords. Joining the duo this time around are drummer Ted Parsons (Prong, Swans, Godflesh, Killing Joke) and keyboard player Roy Powell (Mumpbeak, Naked Truth, Interstatic). The striking cover image was created by visual artist Petulia Mattioli and you can feast your eyes on it now.

Korpiklaani are set to release their new album Noita soon. In addition to their recently announced North American tour dates with Ensiferum, Korpiklaani has announced a run of North American headline shows with Trollfest providing direct support. These dates begin on April 28th in Charlotte, NC and run through May 5th in San Diego, CA. The two bands will then join up with co-headliner Ensiferum May 6th in Los Angeles. The tour then crosses the country and wraps up on May 29th in New York. Today the band also premieres the lyric video for their first new song to be unveiled, "Lempo". Give it a spin over here.

At the end of last year, shocking news came that 48-year-old Static-X frontman Wayne Static had passed away and at the time not many details were revealed about his death. Now, a few months later, it has been confirmed by the official coroner's report that he died as a result of mixing Xanax and other prescription drugs with alcohol. The coroner's report lists the official cause of death as "mixed prescription drug (oxycodone, hydromorphone, alprazolam) with alcohol toxicity" and the "manner of death" is stated as "natural."

Death metallers Pyrrhon have suffered a tough blow. The Americans have been dropped from Relapse Records. The label terminated their contract with Pyrrhon and will not be working on their next LP. The given reason for their decision was that their 2014 album The Mother Of Virtues has not proven commercially successful. Despite the split, the band perseveres and has good news.
