After canceling festival appearances earlier this year due to health issues of frontman Lemmy Kilmister, Motörhead has now had to postpone until early next year their upcoming European tour with Saxon which was meant to start in November. Lemmy is still not ready and fully fit to hit the road.

The album was recorded at Sandlane Recording Facilities, along with producer Joost van den Broek (ReVamp, Stream Of Passion). Now the band has revealed the cover artwork of Antagonise, created by Stefan Heilemann, who was already responsible for the artwork of the debut album Quarterpast. Following a statement from his Facebook page, it has been announced that guitarist Jonathan Nido and drummer Luc Hess will leave The Ocean after their current European tour with Shining (NOR), Hacride and Tides From Nebula. The reasons include "artistic divergence", full-time commitment to a project which is not fulfilling anymore, among other things. Both of them, alongside bassist Louis Jucker, are part of the project Coilguns as well.

On February 11th, 2012, Mastodon took the stage at London's O2 Academy, Brixton capping off the band's world tour for their fifth studio album The Hunter. This sold out performance was the band's first show at Brixton.
