Here are a few that desturps me: pornogrind, battle metal, troll metal, viking metal, power violence, horror metal, vamp metal, queercore ....the list can go on forever.

and here are two non-metal gengre names that is also desturping: Physhobilly and deathcountry, I mean, thos who "invented" those gengres, what were the thinking?

I think Viking metal is quite a cool name. The rest is stupid.

Not really... mathcore is basically a combination of screamo, death, grind and jazz... and Tool are neither

@Sulfur91: That's a genre yes, and it's not a stupid genre...it's 'noise rock'...basically, rock that is overtly distorted and uses a lot of guitar effects to round out the edges...in the song structures from what I've heard, there are breakdowns where distortion, feedback and noisy guitar effects come into play and a lot of the song structures use feedback and noisy guitar effects in the chord structures and melodies...noise rock is actually a pretty cool and innovative sub-genre of rock more then it is metal...

So you would like to have politicalcore, christiangrind etc,etc? It would be rediculius to "invent" a new gengre simply beacuse of the lyrical themes as there are a hole spectrum of different of themes, even in grindcore. Not all is related to gore. But if we would like to name each one of them, we would have a few tousands of subgengres only to grindcore.

In fact alternative means nothing to me, just another stupid label that's being popularly used. Other than that, I have no idea what you mean. Frankly I don't care what "label" everyone puts them under. I just pointed out the slightly hypocritical and IMO funny statement. That is all.

You must bear in mind that one of themes dedicated to grind may inlcude lots of subgenres like what is goregrind about??gore, blood, murders, sexual deviations etc.
We can combine them into more solid pack..

I allways thought of 'satanic BM' as a joke, I mean what's the first thing that pops into your head, when you see/hear Gorgoroth's image/lyrics (!). That it's funny, they're just die hard idiots.

burgalar metal, rumplestiltsken grinder are said to be this genre but i think its ridiculous.

i find the term "satanic black metal" kind of redundant in a way......mostly because most true black metal is satanic.

THe dumbest thing I ever heard was Pirate Metal.

Oh my lord in heaven and my friends in hell! When I first heard that spoken i wasn't sure if my mind was playing tricks on me.

Aside from that... I cant sleep unless I have all bands put in a genre. I think it might be my OCD!
