I trully recomend any of them, while passing through a bad moment in life..

2 very beautiful songs by Axel Rudi Pell :" Come back to me", and "Broken Heart ". I love them, although they are a little depressive.

About My Dying Bride I agree, thay are depresive, this band makes me feel sad and loulny, and thay kill real loulyness, and so deep emotional lyrics, there are only one thing what can make feel better, but My Dying Bride has better ballads ''For You'' and ''MY WINE IN SILANCE''

It would be a difficult work to choose the most depressive song, when you actually spend your time listening mostly to depressive music. Anyway, Deinonychus - "Oceans of Soliloquy" or Uaral - Eternal Beauty of Trees are in my list

Tears - Ensiferum

I find that song way too goofy to take it seriously as a sad song (it's because of the vocals, I think).

I'll add that Falconer's 'Portals of Light' is incredibly depressing.

Also agreed, I was just about to post that song if I saw no one else did. It's so powerful.

One of ballads I got poisoned by these days is Wander by kamelot
Such a beautiful song... also I listen to it very ofter.. it's called "Trois vierges" by Epica (feat Khan from Kamelot)

i also would like to add journeyman by iron maiden, such a powerful and uplifting song!!

Nightwish "Away", so extremely beautiful. Still, Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters", "One", "Mama Said" (yes, Mama Said) and "Fade to Black" are ballads you just gotta mention in this topic.
