Well, it's stated both on Epica's and Ayreon's site, so I think that is true.

Personally I think this is good news, as I like Simone's voice.

I really like Ayreon, although Im not really into the futuristic lyrics and shit, but the music is flawless.

You have to remember that Arjen's lyrics are all supposed to be tongue-in-cheek and not serious at all. When it comes to lyrics this is Ayreon, not Queensryceh or Pain Of Salvation.

The following update was posted on Ayreon's website:

"Fans are really enjoying the already infamous guessing game on the messageboard and MySpace, so we'll quickly move on to the next one! The sixth vocalist finished recording vocals for the new Ayreon album earlier this week. Check out the compiled sample on this location and guess who it could be. We stripped away a lot of the music to give you a better chance of figuring it out. You can discuss the sample, and the lyrics of course, on the messageboard."


Also another singer was revealed:

"It wasn't such a hard guess, at least for one half the duo we revealed last week. Indeed, Arjen Lucassen takes on a bit of vocal duty for this new Ayreon album as well. The second vocalist proved a lot more difficult, as we expected. But eventually someone figured it out.
It is Liselotte Hegt from her newly formed band Dial. Some might know Liselotte as the former bassplayer for the band Cirrha Niva. You can check out more information on:

I didn't expect Englund to be in Ayreon!! These are really great news, he is an excellent vocalist.

I think this going to be an intresting album, but I'm not sure if I'm going to like it. With so many good artists it can easily take each other out. Also with an artwork remecent of "the dream sequencer", it worries me a little. Hopefully only the artwork is simular and not the music.

Yeah, but look at the number of amazing vocalists on The Human Equation, and they didn't over power each other. Plus this art work is also similar to that of The Human Equation.

Before I go on, I must say the I don't consider the dream sequencer a bad album, but simply not my taste. In that album(along with the universial migrator) it happened just what I feared, so many great artists simpely took each other out and the result was medicore. With the return of shi-fi lyrics along with the new samples, I suspect that this album is going to be quite simular to "the dream sequencer" and "the universal migrator", hopefully I'm proven wrong.

Into the Electric Castle was one hell of a ride. I was listening to it with the lyrics beside me, and really felt bad about the Highlander having to go first.. I liked him..

But hey, let's not be a spoiler
