Further proof that France do own the world's finest black metal bands.
Spanning black metal and industrial/ambient, Vindsval has created an absolute monolithe in post bm. He began with the title 'Vlad' before changing the name after two demos and creating the much loved 'Ultima Thulee' which really put them on the map. As his career progressed he experimented with industrial and ambient and has carved the now highly stylised and distinctive Blut Aus Nord sound.
I was listening to PHOBOS one or two weeks ago and was thinking about how great it would be if that band collaborate with BaN. Can not limit my expectation on this
Not only Liber III, but also Memoria Vetusta III releasing this year.
Honestly can't wait for them.

In the name of forests; In the name of stars; In the name of all the seas; In the name of storms... Proud sons of ancient nation; Proud sons of sacred song in the wind; Proud sons behind a mirror of ice who told... Fathers of the icy age!!
Sure! It's great but I honestly think the original is still superior.
thank you Mr Rod. The Internet connection is too fucked up at the moment and I cant check YT videos right now. Will Do asap.I am over excited here: one of my favorite bands covering one of my favorite song. That must be delicious
Anyone heard the Blut aus Nord's cover of godflesh song, Devastator-Mighty Trust Krusher?
The Pyramids cover they did is great as well.
Thank you too, refer to my above reply about the net
Also, I have just heard the pyramids name a few time and did not check out their music. How they actually sound? I will dl them if you recommend...

Pyramids have a sound all their own. I could never really describe it... for that reason alone you should definitely check them out. I love their stuff.
I only listened to the 777 Trilogy and that was nice (my fav is the Epitome XIV). Looking to catch the Memoria Vetusta suite albums because the next will be the third of them!

MVs are my least favorite BaN albums. If you want to know what this band is really capable and how innovative they can be, check TWWTG and Liber series
Debemur Morti Productions fb page: "Blut Aus Nord's Liber serie is NOT a trilogy. Don't believe what you read. The only limitation to this serie is Vindsval's creativity !"
I just saw that and am waiting for a response from Debemur Mortii as to what they mean. Either there won't be a Liber III or it means it won't be restricted to 3 records necessarily.
I like to read it as "it's up to him"... but in the meaning that there might be more releases for the series. Which can't be bad if the quality is left unchanged.

I think that there would be more EPs from Liber series, more than three but you make sure to post their response here, please

Haven't checked any Liber records yet but i prefer to think he should be writing a new record or Trilogy, for that matter.
The Liber records are amongst the best things he's done since MoRT so I'm more than happy for him to carry on with the Libers.
Makes sense. As much as I liked the first two parts of the 777 trilogy, it was far from being perfect or being regarded as classics. Good experimentation and scope of vision but not a cohesive or strong statement within their genre.
And from what I've read about the third part from the reviews and comments here even that doesn't sound to be very excellent.
