Correct, but some of the pedophilia laws that we have in the USA are incredibly stupid. A 19 year old having concentual sex with an 18 year old is considered pedophilia in some states. I'm willing to bet that many of us have committed that felony.

Because, whatever the causes, legalizing killing is a door not to open... If you give to some human beings the right to take the life from others, how do you expect the value of human life to be respected, how can you then prevent people from being violent ? Death penalty isn't justice, it's revenge...

About relationships, I see lot of things I don't understand, young girls being with old men, and so on. But I guess I'm not able to judge other people's feelings.

Well, I also think Aronax has exagerated BUT I'm in favour on death penalty. Not for this particular subject, cuz a person who abuses childs should be locked up for ever to regret what have done, not die. Now, a person that kills another (not in self-defense, accident or any of those stuff) ON PURPOSE.. a murderer really, I guess he/she deserve to die. And I'm not talking about revenge here, I'm talking about the sorrow that stays in, for example, the family of the victim.. and yes, I call it justice. It is fair that in case of MEANING MURDER, a murderer should be killed for that/those that he/she have killed.

And btw, I know many nerds cuz I'm in a computers degree, and I am not like them for sure ! I come to MS to know more metal bands and socialize with persons that have the same tastes has mine, cuz music is really important to me.. and I guess I can't be called a nerd cuz of it.

Mostly directly in topic, here in Portugal it is one thing that its common to see in certain places -prostitution-. Not selling themselfs in stores like in The Netherlands for example, but in the street. I guess it is not that bad, selling sex should be taken as selling anything else. Of course, persons with less than 16 years old shouldnt be doing that, and of course I dont support that. But adult people should have the right to sell themselfs for money if they are capable of it.

As for pornography I really dont see what harm can it make. I confess.. I started watching pornography relativelly young like 12/13 years old. I can say I learn many things from it, and if it wasnt for that I really dont know how could I ever start my sexual live (probably a lot years after).
Nonetheless there's many things, especially on the internet, that kids shouldnt see cuz its kindof "+18years" if you know what I mean. But if the porn is simple, showing for example how to put a condom (that is rare to apear on porn movies). Well, I guess i was "lucky" to be introduced to sex soon.. but many kids arent, and then the girls appear pregnant with 15years old

My conclusion: sex shouldnt be such a taboo (at least here on Portugal it still is).

Well....for example I know several cases where 14 year old girls have found themselves boyfriends who are 20year old and older......and of course these 14year old girls have been really wise and felt they were already women....isn't it so nice that girls start their sex life so early.....

Man, but in that case its their choice. We were talking about adults forcing themselfs to kids.
Nonetheless I agree with you.. but what can we do? Its their life.. besides the guys normally only want them to have sex and then dump them.

Yeah, that country has so many porn stuff produced. I really wonder how or what source you found it. In my own opinion I want pornography/prostitution legalized because randomly I think if women committed do it, we should permit them as a job. I didnt think that could decline the rate of rape. In my country, I can say by my consciousness that rape is induced by the repression from the tradtion and the pornography, more concretely youth watch porn then they want to be rapist... So maybe pornography has 2 opposite of effect.

Pornography should not be a problem at all because it is totally legal and if you cant handle it and you think its bad, then i guess you don't like reality, because people actually do that. But prostitution should be illegal and remain like that, this is because a lot of prostitutes are considered not humans beings, just something to fuck, just an easy way to get sex, and many people kill, beat, humiliate the prostitutes, because they are at the customers every command, and might do harmful and illegal things.

I think when porn is completely legal, rape will go down...Prostitution, I still don't care about...

My only issue would be child porn, that pisses me off, because while normal guys may tend to get off on porn and not go out to get rape...Pedos can look at child porn, and wanna rape a child...I say execute pedophiles

But think about it, 12 years old is a very impressionable young age and thats something that could end up haunting that girl for her entire life, so if one is to fuck with someones entire life like that out of consideration for your own enjoyment I think ill agree with Aronax, you deserve to die, or prison for life with no parole at least, it would be doing a favour to society as a whole. So as long as that person isnt respecting another huuman life why should others respect his right to live amongst us?

In a way i Think every where should Have the death penalty. I dont want people to die but hell, that aint gonna stop it. Some people might think twice about raping someone or killing
some pensioner for her purse if they think they are gonna get sent to the chair or get the lethal injection.

if they dont care then they obviously deserve to go. Why should everyones taxes be spent on giving some child rapist a roof over his head and three meals a day?

I am just going to jump in the middle of this and post a thought to the initial post.

I think that perhap's the social view of prostitution and pornography (which are really one in the same,) is about morality, ethic's and character. People that decide to do these thing's may be percieved as being degenerate's, having poor judgement, lack of self-respect, no moral's and so on, and people that lack those thing's in general may be willing or able to do other thing's that are percieved as negative, and if that sort of behaviour and ethic because acceptable as a whole by society then it's inevitable that society will crumble.

I could add more to this but I have to go, but I am a fairly high ethic and moral person, it's not to say I don't drink, smoke, have done a handful of drug's and lust & desire are amongst my favourite thing's but they're kept to being exclusive in practice, and (hopefully) done wisely.

Well, i have read the whole thread and for now because i am short of time i will tell you that most of the people who rape children are not pedophiles. They only have an impulse to do that.
About the child loving association is that "love" o course it can be misused. however as lon as repect is shown i think its okay. as long as there are no rapes i think its ok.
