| I think Autopsy's Mental Funeral, although it isn't purely Death/Doom, deserves a mention. |

it certainly is way more death doom than Candlemass, While Heaven Wept (the album mentioned here) and the Katatonia albums he mentioned here. All those albums by those bands in this list have nothing to do with Death Doom whatsoever. |

I haven't noticed that he put the two clean vocal Katatonia albums? 'facepalm'!
Brave Murder Day is also essential in this list. Wonder why it isn't here.

| The two Anathema albums in the list have got nothing to do with doom/death either. |
|
|
|
| My personal favourite is Anathema - The Silent Enigma, if you don't count some albums that are more slow death metal rather than death doom, like Sororicide and early Cemetary. |
|
|
|
| Why Silent Enigma by Anathema weren't mentioned on this list and instead these two which have nothing to do with doom/death Are here? how about brave murder day by katatonia and the ones Are here by Katatonia Are the albums which Are not doom/deaths I think |

Exactly!
What a misguiding list this is. The creator is clueless when it comes to genres. Don't get me wrong, this list is filled with totally awesome albums, but if you're going to create a death/doom list, then at least only add death/doom albums. I'll create a real death/doom list some day (since it's one of my favourite subgenres). Okay, let's see what's wrong with this list:
- My Dying Bride - The Angel and the Dark River & Like Gods of the Sun: not death/doom, but gothic/doom.
- Draconian - Arcane Rain Fell, Where Lovers Mourn & Turning Seasons Within: gothic/doom, not death/doom.
- In Mourning - Shrouded Divine: what the hell? This is progressive melodic death metal. Has got nothing to do with doom at all.
- Forest Stream - Tears of Mortal Solitude & The Crown of Winter: blackened doom as far as I know.
- Anathema - Alternative 4 & Judgement: not death/doom at all! The Silent Enigma is essential for this list, which is 100% death/doom.
- Novembers Doom - Aphotic: weird you added this album since this isn't death/doom, but melodic death. Their first couple of albums ARE death/doom, so you again added the wrong album.
- Katatonia - The Great Cold Distance: again the wrong album of this band. Where the hell is the most essential album for this list? Of course I'm talking about Brave Murder Day, one of the best death/doom albums ever created.
- Shape of Despair - Angels of Distress: this band was always funeral doom and not death/doom at all.
I apologize if I came off a little harsh, but I can't stand this kind of thing. The easiest solution (if you care about negative comments, which you should... because why else make a list for people to see?) is to just change the title of the list to "The Best Doom/Death/Gothic Albums" and the "problem" is pretty much solved. |

| ^ I know.... And you didn't even mention the Candlemass albums. I agree that OP should change title to "Best Doom/Death/Gothic Albums" or even "Best Doom, Death/Doom, and Gothic Albums" lol |

And yes, you're right... I missed the Candlemass albums somehow. Those shouldn't be on this list. Fact remains that the creator of this list has heard some awesome music, but he's just totally clueless when it comes to subgenres. |
