Maiden uniteD - Paul Di'Anno And Blaze Bayley To Guest On New Album

Maiden uniteD, the acoustic Iron Maiden tribute project featuring Damian Wilson (Threshold, Headspace) and Ruud Jolie (Within Temptation), will release a new album called Remembrance, on May 22nd on CD, red 12" vinyl and as a digital download. The album features 9 tracks and includes guest performances from former Iron Maiden vocalists Blaze Bayley and Paul Di'Anno. The song "Strange World" can be streamed in the YouTube clip below as the album's first single.

Destructor - New Bassist Announced, Writing New Material

The new lineup of the Cleveland thrash veterans Destructor made its live debut during the WJCU 2015 Radiothon Benefit Concert, yesterday, on February 7th at the Maple Grove in Cleveland, Ohio. The band has a new bassist, Tim Hammer, and is also writing new material.

Katatonia - To Release Concert Film 'Sanctitude'

Swedish masters Katatonia have announced a new concert film called Sanctitude, to be released on the 30th of March in the UK and rest of the world, 31st of March in the USA and Canada, and 3rd of April in Germany via Kscope. All audio on Sanctitude has been mixed and mastered by Bruce Soord with artwork once more supplied by long-time visual collaborator Travis Smith. Van Halen - Live Album And Remasters Coming

Van Halen will release what the band is calling its "definitive live album" on March 31st, the same date they're scheduled to begin a six-album remaster series with reissues of Van Halen and 1984. It's the first-ever live album to feature original singer David Lee Roth. Confirming days of rumors, sources at the Van Halen News Desk have shared the first official details of the live LP, titled Tokyo Dome Live in Concert, as well as information regarding the upcoming remasters.

U.D.O. - Udo's Son Announced As New Drummer

U.D.O. have announced their new drummer and it's none other than Udo's son Sven Dirkschneider! After the split with former drummer Francesco Jovino and numerous auditions with possible new band members, the decision has been made that the new drummer and band member of U.D.O. will be Sven Dirkschneider. Sven Dirkschneider is 21 years old and is now the youngest member of the band.

Rage - Announce End Of Current Line-Up, Peavy Wagner Clarifies (Update)

UPDATE: Earlier this week, Nuclear Blast Records announced the end of Rage and later changed it to "end of the current line-up of Rage" leaving a bit of doubt in the air about what was happening after all. Now, the bassist/vocalist Peter "Peavy" Wagner has clarified the band situation and confirms that the band is not over, that it's just the end of an era. He says Rage will continue with a new line-up and that you can expect more news about that soon.
