one of my fav. directors is Michel Gondry. He have made amazing videos (and movies by the way)!Is a great artist, very unique. He have work with Björk, Foo Fighters, The White Stripes and a lot of other artist! This man have a very original way to make videos, I mean his videos are beautiful and powerful or weird, in other words. UNIQUE
Another is Howard Greenhalgh I fall in love with his videos when I buy a Placebo DVD. The video? Nacy Boy... Sexy!!!! but he have work with other artists like: System of a Down, Elton John, Soundgarden (my always beloved video Black hole sun), INXS and Iron Maiden (but I don't like the video Rainmaker)...
This is just a few one I like. I choose the directors but i will post some videos I like some day! now I want some opinions and recommendation!

Actually, One is no longer the best music video IMO. I just saw Celtic Frost's A Dying God Coming Into Human Flesh, had to see it twice. OMG, what an video! Really cool and a great song ... I just love Celtic Frost!

Demons And Wizards - Terror Train: just for the greatness and Hansi Kürsch and John Schaffer together. Also it has cool FX Iron Maiden - Rainmaker: greatly made. And this Oomph! Videos. Megadeths 'Hangar 18' is pretty cheesey but its awesome at the same time. as well as Belphegors 'vomit upon the cross' cheesey as all hell, and terrible footage, but really funny.

Rammstein, with their movie-like videos (Tarantino worked on Du Hast), Oomph! makes you think, like in Augen Auf and Gott Ist Ein Popstar, they are saying something deep. There are loads more, and non-metal/rock videos can always pleasantly surprise you.
