The problem with religion in black metal is that religion is innately human and black metal is innately inhuman/anti-human

I'm always on the look out for black metal bands that are genuine about there religion's . I wonder if any of the thousands of pagan BM bands actually practice pagan rituals or believen pagan gods. For some reason Christian BM bands seem to be the most legit to me.
There has been Firstborn and Sadhaka that seem to be serious about Buddhism but who really knows for sure. I've noticed a few newer blackmetal bands like Slidhr and Acherontas dabble in Eastern relegions, I think the "death of ego" and "no self" and other sayings can be misinterpreted to be a nihilistic idea that would fit BM well.

Murder has nothing to do with practicing satanism. In fact it goes against the overarching main tenet which is to leave everyone else alone and do your own thing. It also has nothing to do with pagan beliefs, which at worst promote ritual sacrifice, but that is an inherently built in belief within a community and thus has a basis in consent.

I'm having trouble picking apart your typos (is arens Athena or Aryans, etc.) but whatever you're on about his beliefs being used to justify murder is still irrelevant to the topic at hand as it doesn't relate to the practice or message of satanism.

If someone uses black metal (or, in this case, religion related to the lyrical or philosophical nature of black metal) as a vehicle for their murderous intentions, then that person is simply a murderer. It seems like you're making the argument that violent video games (or violent music, more specifically) make violent people. People were violent and murderous long before the invention of these forms of media.

The deeper reasons behind those church burnings have a lot less to do with this genre and a lot more to do with a misguided sense of noble vengeance and likely some un-diagnosed mental health issues. Blaming black metal for arson or murder is a stretch Bikram Choudhury would be proud of.

But I'll agree to disagree, as I don't imagine any of what I said will have any affect on your opinion. To get back to the topic at hand, I suppose mentioning Agalloch as a band that practices what they preach would be accurate. Not necessarily in a religious context, but they (at least John Haughm) partake in nature-based meditative practices, at least from what I can remember.

Nice riffs, singimg, a bit dead metal singing, Amon Amarth style, catchy and well composed melodies , its black metal in its best but DM fans can check this one out

With "In diesem Graben" the Black Metal band Hyems have released a second video of their album "Anatomie des Scheiterns" which was released in May. Due to the shocking footage from the First World War, the band decided to provide the video with an appropriate age rating. Furthermore the band makes clear that it is not their intention to glorify the pictures and the events of that time in any way. On the contrary, the pictures should tell about a whole generation of people who, even though they may have escaped the shells and survived, were nevertheless destroyed by this war.

Because of the age rating it can only be viewed with a logged in Youtube account (and the corresponding age stored there).

Pagan black metal act Crystalmoors from Spain, shared in this years January on Facebook, that they work on acoustic album

A thought just came to me. Do musicians like King Diamond or Immortal wear their face paint when they record their studio albums or only during their live performances?
I would assume it would be inconvenient and unnecessary to wear it when recording in a studio, but maybe it makes the musicians feel more immersed in their roles?
Does anyone know something about this?
