All the 9 first albums are classics..

The first 7 No Prayer For The Dying and Fear Of The Dark aren't classics by any stretch of the imagination.

Depends for who I guess cos I make them spin all the time... as much as the others, they're underestimated.
Its not because they did something a bit different and maybe a bit (darker) that its not good lol.

I mean .. Mother Russia, Tailgunner, Holy Smoke, Fear Of The Dark, Judas Be My Guide, Afraid To Shoot Strangers, Be Quick Or Be Dead, No Prayer For The Dying, Hooks in you, From Here To Eternity... (...)
all songs that I love

Meh. All depends on what era you're talking about. Their new stuff is so unbelievably boring - mediocre would be a compliment. It's a band surviving entirely off it's name now.

Precisely.

I simply hope that when you say (by its name) you mean by its early career

I like most of their albums but 7th Son is their best. However, the albums I listen to the most are their first two because there's a different vibe to them entirely. Latest album was a drag for sure, though.

I may be criticized because of this statement but my favorite album is The X Factor.I know when somebody mention IM everybody thinks of Bruce but i think this album is their darkest one. There is something with this album,it is so atmospheric.

I need help here, what is the best Iron Maiden's dvd? I think it's a close call between Live After Death, and Flight 666, so which one is better?

The first 7 are classics, no argument. New stuff MIGHT be good, but no way as near as the first seven.

Iron Maiden is my favourite band, and I think reunion era stuff>80's stuff, besides DoD. The other 3 are all in my top 5, AMOLAD is my favourite and BNW is second. The 80's material is good but they have a few songs letting down each album. Reunion era doesn't have this problem (besides DoD).

Lol what the hell are you talking about The 80's are way better than anything they produced after they reunited. Lol anyways

Yeah I second that... Although it really depends on what style of metal you like more I guess... But I found BNW and TFF to both be pretty mediocre albums.

Oh definitely not that bad. A good song here or there. But you're absolutely right, I'd take an 80's album over that any day of the week.

I really can't understand how Killers or The Number of the Beast comes close to AMOLAD, BNW or TFF. None of these have any bad songs, whereas TNOTB has 2 of Maiden's worst (Invaders, Gangland), and a couple of mediocre tracks (22AA, RTTH, Total Eclipse).

I prefer Dark Tranquillity's cover version, but the original isn't half-bad either (coming from a non-Maiden fan).

I'll have to check that version out.

But as far as the song is concerned, although it showcases a more straightforward raw rock sound for Maiden (like most of Adrian Smith's songs do, which is prob why I like his style more than Dave's), it is still fairly complex AND has tons of feeling and some awesome solos. One of Maiden's best and most unique songs for sure.

Acacia Avenue is one of my favorites from NotB. If any song on that album is mediocre it has to be Invaders, which I still love for it's weird chorus.

what? the only decent album of Maiden since their reunion with Bruce was Brave New world. I just don't understand people that appreciate later day Maiden more than their 80s works. Seriously, wtf?!

Invaders is a great song, while RTTH is an instant classic. 22AA is fun to listen to, but I have to admit it's the worst the album has to offer.

I second that. While I don't consider myself a fan of the band by any means, some of their earlier releases were gold. The shit they've come out with in the past decade has been some of the most boring metal material put to CD.

Other than the RTTH, NOTB, COTD, and HBTN, 22 Acacia Avenue is my favourite on the album man! Definitely above Gangland, Total Eclipse, Invaders, and The Prisoner comes close but still man, not even. Even the worst song on the album though, anything of their new stuff pales in comparison
