A very beautiful expansion since my last visit. It's a little pity that there are no less known stuffs such as Svartidauði, Sun Of The Blind, Pan.thy.monium, Obscure Sphinx, but I understand that list is limited to 100 only. Well, I'm not here to grumble about, a better list is really hard to find on MS. Dude, this is fantastic

Only thing I can't see from an initial scroll down that still needs to be here are Agalloch really ;P.

The Mantle was on the list and I really don't remember why the hell it has been removed...

The lack of Virus offends me here
Also, if you have not heard it, Disharmonic Orchestra - Pleasuredome is one of my all time favorites. I think you will also love it.

Don't get your hopes high yet. It seems to be yet another album that I love and many people don't think it as a great record.

Dear lord, this list is fantastic. Most of my favourite metal albums would be on here. It seems that we both have the exact same taste in black metal. I wouldnt include Agruss and The Meads of Asphodel though.

Well, its not like I dont like the Meads, but they are somehow too inconsistent for me to fully enjoy them. As for Agruss, I've tried hard but something just doesnt hit the right notes with me. Would rather listen to DIS over them any day.

If by saying DIS, you mean Dragged Into Sunlight and Hatred For Mankind, I can't help but only say that I love this one just as much Stylistically, it is quite different though.

Yep, I mean Dragged into Sunlight . Stylistically they are quite different, true, but both have this uncompromissing violence in their music, in which I highly prefer DIS. I also really dislike the vocalwork of Agruss, sounds too overdone and I cant take it seriously anymore. It kind of says something, because normally I can tolerate most vocals within extreme metal. Most of the other albums are fucking great though, so not much to complain here.

That being said, the diversity in the vocal style is the highlight of this album imo. Anyway, thanks for your comprehensive reply. I'm fine with it
